The Epson - Pro EX9240 has totally impressed me with the viewing experience. The color is incredibly crisp. It was as crisp on the wall as it was on my actual laptop and anyone who uses projectors knows that is not really the standard with projectors. The picture is beautiful and the projector only lags a second behind what is happening on the connected laptop. Anyone could proudly stand in front of a presentation using this projector and know you can count on a beautiful backdrop to whatever story you are telling to your peers, your customers or your leaders. The remote is also incredibly handy for managing the experience easily although the projector itself has clearly identifiable buttons to make that easy directly on the projector as well. The viewing is experience and usability overall is pretty rock solid. It lost me a bit though with the lack of accessories/hardware to get the most out of the projector though. The projector comes with a handy dandy carrying case which I thought was a nice little feature in addition to the remote and a power cable, however that's it. It doesn't actually come with a cable to connect it to your device - computer, camera, mobile phone or whatever. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't immediately usable out of the box and I had to sort through our electronics bin to find a USB to attach it to my laptop. I appreciated that it only took a USB though and didn't mean I absolutely had to find an HDMI cable floating around in our backup supplies. If you have all these things regularly available to you though, you're good to go if you're hardwired to the device. The wireless feature also immediately caught my attention with this projector, however it actually requires you purchase a LAN module separately. A nice feature to have, but again it would have been nice if this was ready to go right out of the box. At this price point, I would expect to have everything I needed from a hardware perspective to get the most out of this projector. Overall, this projector seems to really deliver on the experience side of things but you're going to shell out a bit more cash to get the USB, HDMI, VGA or audio wire (if you don't already have them) and need to purchase accessories to get the most out of this projector.

The Epson Pro EX9240 is an excellent projector for work conferences. The picture is vivid and clear. Setup is easy if you’re using a VGA cable or HDMI cable. It comes with 2 HDMI ports which is a plus. Wireless connection works perfectly if you’re using a Windows computer using Microsoft’s built in Wireless Display feature. When your computer finds the projector it switches to the correct connection on the the projector automatically. The speed is fat and there is little to no lag while in use. If you wish to project wirelessly from a Mac, iPad, iPhone, or Smartphone you have to use the Epson Projection app. The app is subpar and has a lot of lag. The ratings for the app is not that great. The app will allow you to mirror your Mac, but It does not mirror the screen on your smart device. You have to view apps, photos, and web sites from within the app. When connecting wirelessly with a Mac you have to install the Epson Projection app. It doesn’t appear to support Mac 11 OS Big Sur when you visit the Epson website, but if you choose OS 10.5 you can install that version instead. Overall this is a great projector for presentations and the ability to easily connect using the built in Microsoft Wireless Technology.

    Business Meeting/Classroom Projector

Exactly as advertised. Met all expectations and needs. Great product. If presenting to a smaller room the built-in speaker is more than adequate. Super bright display, so it is better for presenting in a brighter environment.

    Great Projector

This projector turned out to be much better than I expected. After setting everything, which was very easy by the way, I streamed a movie from a fire stick. Image Quality was very crisp. It felt like a movie theater quality. The only thing that was missed ng was a surround sound. Projector’s speaker is not strong enough to provide sound further away from the projecto. I was able to overcome this by using an audio extractor. After connecting audio extractor to the surround system, it truly felt like I was in a movie theater. I strongly recommend this projector. This is a review for the Epson Pro EX9240 1080p projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

This is my 2nd Epson projector. I think they have definitely improved the experience since my last projector. The unboxing and setup was straightforward and simple. This projector definitely was much more impressive with the brightness it projected, It even worked in a well lit room! I use this mostly for my business to project for my employees and it works just as advertised. My kids also hook into it to watch their movies, so it is kid tested and improved :) This is a review for the Epson EX9240 projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Decent bright video but miracast is junk

Bought this as a mid range first projector. Hoping epson and 1080 with miracast would be a good combo. Biggest fail was that miracast decoder is junk for casting video (tldr; creates a stack of pics) I got a Chromecast to give me a smart tv like option for when I'm too lazy to attach device via hdmi i can still cast streaming services over Chromecast. Still think the projector works good enough as a home cinema and can use in partial light and stilñ enjoy the scene as long as its not super darkly lit content. Looking back i probably would have paid a few hundred more for 4k and better contrast and blacks but at least i can test it out a few years and not be too worried taking it on the road (as with a 1500$ or more model

    Great projector awful service.

Actually the projector is quite good. Great picture quality. However, ours died in 2 uses. Just a couple of weeks. I tried to return to store and they refused to accept it. Had to go through Epson. The only reason to shop at Best Buy is to get some level of service. Epson to their credit sent one next day. You get better service from Amazon or Epson direct. Don’t waste your time shopping at Bestbuy.

Just terrible erroneous advice from electronics dept. Bought an Espon EX9240 and a sound bar for blue tooth. Guy said simple hook-up. Not possible. The EX9249 doesn't have blue tooth. Went to store to get the wire. They said this will work but didn't have 25 ft length. Went somewhere else and got it. Didn't work. Bought somehting on Amazon. Didn't work. Wasted hours. The staff is poorly trained and just don't care. Now I stuck with the projector because I threw away the box because I tried to blue tooth it a couple days later. Just a horrible experience dealing with incompetent people who just don't care.
