Whether for your business or home office, dealing with receipts and expense reports is a daunting task. You not only need to organize them but you also need to manually add them to spreadsheets or accounting software. Not fun. Being skeptic like I am, I didn’t expect this RapidReceipt would make my work life much easier but the promise was there and anything would help. To my surprise, it did a lot more than I expected. The OCR was not just faster but way more accurate than others I’ve used. The accompanying software Receipt Manager makes it a breeze. This scanner is small, which is a good thing, but the 4.3-inch touch screen looks really big on it. That’s also a good thing. Just a bit of a comment about the size of the scanner. When not in use, it is really compact. Otherwise, it takes some room because the bin that holds the scanned sheets is considerably long. Thank you Epson for making it without the need of an Ethernet cable. Wireless is the way to go. The option to convert receipts to PDF is very welcome and boy, this is fast. 11 pages scanned and converted in less than 15 seconds. At first, I was afraid it would destroy the receipts going that fast but it didn’t. Combine this with the included Accounting Edition (Receipt Manager) plugin and the time you’d spend organizing receipts is cut to one third or better. I almost could say I was having fun feeding it with the receipts in my drawers and boxes. Nice! And I found a lot of other software that work with it for scanning business cards for instance (some people like me still get those). I just finished scanning all my receipts for income tax. It was never this easy before. Although I’m not sure this would work for bigger organizations with thousands of receipts and invoices, I can attest that it is a dream come true for home offices and small businesses. They say it can handle up to 4,000 scans a day though, which is a lot. The time this scanner saves is more than worth the price tag in my opinion.

The scanner itself is really nice but it doesn't compare anywhere near the neat desk software for receipt management.

This is a high end scanner, at a high end price. Does it earn its price? Absolutely! A lot of good about this scanner, and so little bad. Setup is a breeze, with detailed instructions and pictures starting from opening the box and setup. The size is perfect, and the scanner unit sits on my next to my monitor. After plugging the scanner in, and a few clicks, you are on your way. The unit FEELS quality to the touch. From the bright color screen to the adjustment areas for the size of the paper. There are options for scanning via USB, and receiving it via internet through a variety of means (Email, Google Drive, etc). I tried them all, and all were very straight forward. I went with the USB directly to my computer option because it was already on my desk, and it is so fast. Let's talk speed; SO FAST. I couldn’t believe how fast it was. I thought it wasn’t scanning. But it is scanning. DOUBLE SIDED. And not double sided by scanning once, and flipping it. At the same time. And somehow, just incredible quality. No paper became safe. I was introduced to the world of instant, high speed scanning. High quality scans of photos, yes! Better than an all in one flatbed for photos. A lot better. High quality scans of that receipt that is wrinkled and in your pocket, yes! High quality scans of that double sided document you have in a folder in your desk because you have to store it, yes! My paper desk drawer went from bulging to empty in an afternoon. The PDF software it comes with, combined with the touch screen made scanning over 500 pages, receipts, and pictures makes a “paper drawer” a thing of the past. The Epson Rapid Receipt RR-600W is a workhorse scanner that gets important documents scanned in a matter of seconds. This scanner comes right on time as I have been trying to seriously eliminate the “paper monster” by organizing and creating a file system that houses important data. I have chosen to access the data via an organizational file system via my computer and/or the clouds. I have accounts with Evernote, Dropbox, One Drive and Google Drive. The scanner is very easy to set up as Epson has included a quick start guide that instructs how to connect and input your computer’s Wi-Fi info, download the necessary drivers and from there, you are good to go with scanning! I found that this scanner has a touch screen which is an added bonus as it lends to the intuitiveness of the scanning process. The visibility of the screen makes the process of scanning to be efficiently done as it enables you to see the whole process as it occurs. So far, I have scanned hundreds of documents such as old tax forms, medical documents, and business documents. The documents I scanned have immense clarity and conciseness. I have a lot of business cards that I have collected over the years that I was able to scan and file. Additionally, the free included receipt software is another added bonus as I save most of my receipts. I especially found its duplex capability to be great too; as I scanned lots of documents that were two-sided. Additionally, I am elated that this scanner is wireless as this eliminates restrictions. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the features, functions, and performance of this scanner. Once you download the correct program to use o. Your lap top it is easy to use but took a bit to figure it out.

Was confusing to use at first, but once I got to work the way I needed it to, it is awesome. Able to put all my receipts on the computer into their individual folders.

This product scans fast, but it does not work well with quickbooks desktop. You have to individualy scan every receipt in order to try and import to qbooks desktop. Its much easier to just enter into quick books desktop manually. Returning the Epson Rapid Receipt.

Epson RapidReceipt does it all! Everything that Epson says it can do, will do, as long as all instructions are followed. It is very user-friendly.

I Love the scanner. However, I don't use the receipt software. Unless you need that I would recommend stepping down to to the next model.

The Epson RR-600W is a fantastic scanner! I work in accounting, and part of my job involves scanning documents on a high capacity scanner for uploading to my company’s intranet. So, I know a thing or two about scanners and how one should interact with them. This scanner provides for a perfect user experience, and I’ll tell you why. First of all, it is so easy to set up. I couldn't believe how a scanner that does so much could be so easily setup! The directions on how to set up the scanner are displayed on its touchscreen, which is a very cool addition because most scanners don't have touchscreens. Second of all, it’s wireless; so, you can print from anywhere in your house if you connect it to your wireless network (which, of course, you should!). Third, it's duplex feature is awesome and greatly adds to your productivity. Fourth, it can scan very swiftly without jamming or double-feeding. Finally, it's receipt scanning ability is far and above any other scanner I've ever dealt with; it doesn't tear the receipts and produces very clear images. I could really go on and on about this scanner, but I believe that succinct reviews are superior to ones that read like a novel. Best thing I could say - buy this scanner because you won’t regret it one single bit!! A good scanner, but I felt it was pricey and ultimately I returned it.

Scanner is great for documents and new photos. You can't scan older black and white photos.

Bought for my business. Does the job it needs to do. Only thing is you can’t scan different size receipts at one time.
