3 scanners in 6 weeks, all made struggling noises while scanning like metal on metal, software crashed intermittently. Exchanged by best buys 3 times. Then got a fujitsu that works wonderfully.

This scanner was a little bigger than I expected and a bit cumbersome for the desktop space I had, but it does work efficiently and doesn't make much noise.

    Worth every penny!

I scan almost all of my paperwork in to the computer for storage. I used to use a multi-function printer with flatbed scanner, which was very time consuming. Finally stepped up and purchased a real document scanner and have NO regrets. Pros - Very easy to set up. Fast. Scans both sides at the same time, and is intelligent enough to skip blank pages. Takes up minimal amount of desktop. Cons - The only con (and it's miniscule) I can think of, is that papers don't always stay in the collection tray after they've been scanned; new pages tend to push prior scanned pages out. Not a show stopper.

Didn't say anything on the box or the reviews. I ended up returning it for one that did double sided scanning.

I had a scanner that crashed every other job put through it. I decided on this scanner after reading reviews and testimonials. When I bought it and set it up like I wanted, it is fantastic. I bought one for my assistant, another employee and even one for my home office. It is fast, and the quality is perfect. You will not be disappointed.

I was very surprised that this scanner was for operating systems that was 2 to 3 years ago.

    Excellent Scanner

Makes quick work of scanning a stack of documents. Super fast!! My favorite feature: It allows you to use a blank page as a file separator, so you can scan multiple documents of various length all at once. It then automatically creates separate PDF files for each document! Well worth every penny!

Great Scan - Poor thick paper handling

Doesn't scan envelopes or insurance cards unless you use a different program - epson support couldn't make it work so they had me use a different program which did work and they said ok were done - problem fixed. Well the problem isn't fixed since I have to scan envelopes quite often and the program they are having me use is not near as user friendly - so I am thinking about returning this scanner. I do like the speed it scans for 20-24 lb paper and have no complaints with it for doing that. Their manual says it does the thicker things but I get an error message every time. 3 hours working with tech support didn't fix only found a work around.

    My Mac doesn't recognize it

Works great using Epson software, but I don't like the software it comes with. I want to use Mac's printer/scanner software. The Mac has to recognize the peripheral in order to do so. My mac did this briefly, then all of a sudden could not find it again. I'm exchanging it after 4 hours on tech support with Apple and Epson. Not happy.

    Doesn't Even Install

    Posted .

Bought this at the local store after having read the reviews here. Best Buy rep told me it's "plug and play" and it isn't. It comes with a CD driver, but if your laptop doesn't have one, you can go the Epson website to download the driver. However, it won't install at all. It sits stuck at 75% for 20 minutes and if you can't install the driver, you can't use the scanner. Also, NOT wireless. It comes with a USB cable. In this day and age?? It's basically junk. Going back immediately.
