It gave me 3 error messages. I reinstalled as advised and the same thing happened. Computer is brand new and up to date. Epson does not have any troubleshooting for these errors and will not respond to my support requests. Waste of money and time. Just a useless hunk of plastic.

It doesn't take up much space

Tried to Google instructions since there is a driver limitation if you are not using MS. Gave it to my wife. It took a bit to figure out the driver bit as well. It wasn't straight forward as install and go. After some time and a few inappropriate comments, it now works as needed.

It's virtually impossible to get a straight scan, in other words the document being fed skews slightly to one side or the other no matter how carefully inserted. I used mine for 25 - 30 scans and then the 'scan' button stopped 'auto-launching' the ScanSmart software and when manually bringing up the software and pressing the blue 'scan' icon the program immediately terminated. Subsequent calls to Epson support finally reached a person able to converse competently in the English language who determine there was a hardware failure and the device should be returned.
