Does not load doc evenly and hard to keep scan 'lines' from appearing. Even after recal and cleaning. It is compact and mobile. I would recommend depending on use. For portable use would be okay.

Fine for homework, garbage for photo scans

Easy enough to set up. I use a MacBook Pro. No problems. I called Epson a few months ago regarding the problem of lines being put onto my photo scans regardless of how many times I cleaned and calibrated the scanner. After 40 minutes of not helpful trouble shooting the solution was to send me another scanner. After about 20 photos the new scanner started doing the exact same thing. Highly unlikely I'll call support again as it wasn't helpful the first time and I'll just hang on to this scanner for homework scanning for a child of mine since it works well for that. I need a scanner that works just for photos so I'll be buying something different and hope it is much better than this scanner.
