So I definitely wanted to try a portable scanner because I can store it in a drawer when I am not using it. It was very easy to use. It took me all of fifteen minutes from the time I took it out of the box to the time I scanned the first paper. It really is very straight forward in getting it set up and using it. I would highly recommend this to someone who has a home office and doesnt have a lot of space. This is a review for the Epson WorkForce ES-50 Portable Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Great value, portable, easy to use simplex scanner

The software is easy to install and update (internet is needed to install the software before you can use this scanner). The software allows you to build and edit files before saving. No need to buy an expensive pdf program. Only fits documents 8-1/2 inches wide. Only simplex scans, one side of document.

This portable scanner is a real time saver

It has been a real time saver for scanning in receipts for expense reports. I have also used it to scan in my daughter's school work with no issues. Much more convenient then running to the office. The set up was super easy. I think I spent less then 10 minutes to be up and running. Easy to use.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Happy with it - It did take a little effort to figure out how to set up (nothing in windows without a download seemed to make it possible - but that is because i am "used to" windows handling scanning without additional software) - Once i downloaded the Epson driver, it was easy, fast, quick, and made clear color scans.
