There are SO many software components and it was painful to get the Windows driver, scanner firmware and software components installed. The firmware was particularly painful and the scanner would not work at all until that was done. Once I got through all that the scanner itself is really good. However there is one BUG I found. I connect the scanner via WiFi to my 5G network. My DESKTOP is connected via wired Ethernet to a multi-gig port on my router. Now if I want to initiate a scan from the scanner itself it will not recognize my computer being attached UNLESS I ALSO connect my desktop to WiFi AND disable the Ethernet adapter altogether!! Obviously this is a non-starter. Fortunately I can initiate a scan from the ScanSmart software from Epson and that works fine with my WiFi connected scanner and desktop connected via Ethernet. But it only works in that one direction! Epson seriously needs to fix this bug. But since it works good over all I will be keeping the scanner.
