Great Scanner for the price. I got it on sale. Very useful for Office and home. Same features in other brand costs $250 more. Why spend more dollars when you get the same features for less price.

Excellent scanner. I never could get my computer to recognize it via USB connection (my preference), but as long as the internet is fast and the wifi signal is strong it works well.

I have had this scanner for close to a week and i must say im rather impressed with it. The scanner itself is very compact, takes up very little space and fits perfectly on the corner of my desk. The set up was a breeze. There is no real assembly other than attaching the paper guide which slides right in. Once plugged in and powered on the large touchscreen is easy to read and use. Rather than run a wire across the room i chose to set it up for a wireless connection. Once in Wireless set up screen you just follow the prompts and you are up and running. I downloaded the Epson Smart Panel app for my iphone and ipad as well, set that up it works seamlessly with the scanner. The only real issue i had was setting up the scan to email server but that was more operator error than anything else. The last thing i set up was linking to cloud storage which was very easy to do. I wanted to put the Duplex scanning speed to the test and i was amazed at how fast it can read both sides of the papers. This thing blew through 21 double sided pages faster than i ever expected it to. Alot of the small desktop scanners ive used in the past get jammed up after the first couple pages but i had no jamming issues whatsoever each time i scanned the 21 pages. I usually scan to my cloud accounts but i also scanned multiple things to my email and had no problems. The clarity of the scans is amazing. I am very impressed with this little scanner and it will be getting quite a bit use. i would definitely recommend this scanner. I previously owned a Scansnap, which was a great printer. However, this Epson Workforce ES-580W has been a frustrating experience. I even called Geek Squad after I purchased it because it wasn't working, and I had to pay for their help. I don't think I should have had to pay to get it functioning, and now it's not working properly again. I need a reliable scanner.

After months of research, I thought I had found the perfect document scanner. I tried numerous times to set it up with my MBP, my iPad, and my iPhone. Nothing worked. I was able to connect to my router and enter settings (time and date), but that's where the set-up ended. The Epson website reads it is working on Sequoia compatibility so I waited. It's been almost 2 months with no compatibility. I can't report how it scans and what documents scan best because I never got far enough in set-up. One last item--there is no reset.

The 400 model lasted several years. I upgraded to this one and seems equivalent to the product

Never really got started with this. Purchased this to replace and older Fujitsu Scanner. I returned it because it never worked wirelessly with my Mac. Epson support was MIA. They emailed advice that didn't solve the problem. After several emails they said they would have support call me. I decided to return the scanner and replaced it with a new Fujitsu scanner that was easy to set up. If you have a computer that is easy to set up this might be a great device.

I have purchased earlier versions of this device. The addition of the screen is great and i use it wirelessly. It s fast and a great footprint for my desk.

We setup this scanner for one of our clients. It works really well and they can all scan to a different saved location on a server or their workstation.

This scanner helps to cut down on sracks of paper storage. I love it.

This is crazy fast and amazing at scanning a ton of documents ect in at once or just heavy duty use. still working like a charm!

Beats keeping six years of hard copies. Just scan to any storage medium of choice instead. Saves a LOT of space.

It was a great purchase! It has an Automatic feeder making it easy to use and can stack up to 90 pages for it to scan. Love it!

got this for the wife and yes she loves it . she uses it to scan docs for work on a secured network.
