Getting nugget ice at home was always a dream, and after months of deliberation, I finally bought the Euhomy Countertop Nugget Ice Maker. I use it daily for iced coffee and water, and while it requires a little maintenance, the payoff—soft, chewable ice on demand—has been completely worth it. The Nugget Experience The ice quality is exactly what I was hoping for. It’s that soft, chewable, pebble ice you get at places like Sonic or Chick-fil-A, and it really does make any drink feel instantly more refreshing. The fact that the soft texture absorbs a bit of the drink's flavor is the best part! The machine starts dropping nuggets into the basket pretty fast—I see the first ones form within about 7-10 minutes—which is great when I just want a quick glass. I appreciate the 35lbs/24H capacity; while it’s not instant, if I let it run for an hour or two, I can fill up a few bags of ice to keep in my freezer, ensuring I always have a big stash ready for entertaining. Noise, Cleaning, and Maintenance This is where the personal experience really matters. When I first plugged it in, I was a little worried because it was quite loud—a noticeable grinding/whining sound. However, I read advice from other users and immediately ran the Auto-Cleaning cycle a couple of times with distilled water and a bit of cleaner (vinegar or bleach works). That made a HUGE difference. Now, it runs quietly, producing just a steady fan hum and the gentle clinking of ice dropping, which is easily ignorable in the kitchen. The Auto-Cleaning function is a lifesaver for maintenance; I run it regularly to keep the machine hygienic and prevent issues, and I highly recommend using distilled water to avoid hard water scaling. Design and Final Verdict The black design is sleek and compact, fitting neatly on my countertop without taking up too much space. The LED indicators clearly let me know when the ice basket is full or when it’s time to add more water, which is convenient. My only minor complaint, shared by others, is that the basket design can make it a little tricky to scoop the ice right from the bottom edge. Overall, this Euhomy has brought a ton of joy to my kitchen. If you're willing to commit to regular cleaning (which all nugget ice makers require) and maybe run the auto-clean cycle a few extra times initially, this machine is a fantastic, affordable way to enjoy chewable ice every day.

This icemaker works exceptionally well for its price. However, I must say that it’s a little noisy, even louder than my refrigerator. Despite this, it makes ice quickly and in good quantities.

Works fast! Ice is a good pellet size, but freezes into clumps and taking a lot of trouble shooting to get a usable system to save ice for later Lots of maintenance requirements. Good for small events, but harder to justify daily use.

I'm someone who has always loved ice nuggets and loved to chew or eat them. These nuggets are also good for ice shavers to make snow cones. It works pretty quick. Only took a short amount of time for it to start making ice. The sound isn't the loudest, but it also isn't the quietest.

I like everything about Euhomy! It's easy to operate, it's quiet! The ice is perfect size and is ready constantly! Love it!

Purchased in the middle of February (2026) and mid April I started hearing a weird sound. Thought perhaps air got into the line. I didn’t extra cleanings(I do them every 6-7 days as it is and use distilled water except for the first 4 days I used bottled water and noticed it got dirty pretty quickly. Mold particles since I did a clean cycle before I operated.) Well the sound came and went. It squeaks when it has to produce ice. I expected a breakdown after a year or so but not 2 months in. It’s mid May of it’s still everytime it makes ice. It’s not eligible for a return. So I just might have to open it up and see what’s going on. I wouldn’t recommend it. I liked the size of the ice! I was excited how easy it was to set up, to clean ect. But I was eyeing other ice makers especially the Govee one but went with this because it is able to make the small pieces like I like. But it shouldn’t break down this quickly. For reference it’s a 2 person household. I use it daily while my husband uses it on weekends. I get ice 3-4 times a day. I’ve kept up with cleanings and using distilled water. Not tap water.

Made ice quick however doesn’t hold a lot of ice. If you want more ice then a cup full this isn’t the one. Sent it back.

Works great! Perefect for 1 -2 people. We did notice that you need to watch it to make sure it doesn't run out of water fast if your using the ice quickly. I also place the ice as it is made into plastic bags for the freezer and just have to tap them to get the chunks again!

Makes good ice but not as much as described. Machine is extremely loud and does not stop running so 24/7 you hear the machine running
