I made it to 24,000 feet on Mt. Everest in 1993, I knew two of the climbers that died on this climb having climbed Denali with one of them. Rob was played true to form as were several others. This is a great movie filmed on the actual route. It is the real/reel deal! Loved it.

This movie will blow your mind away with the beautiful scenery but will also make you be emotionally invested in its characters as the story unfolds. There is little action but the drama of their struggle to survive will keep you glued till the end.

My husband is a hiker and found this movie to be very exciting! It proved he will NOT be trying to climb Everest....ever! LOL. It did, however, get him so interested, he ended up buying the books of two climbers they referred to in the movie. Interesting reading!

It is amazing that anyone would be confident about climbing Mt. Everest! It is an interesting experience watching a disaster movie where the outcome is known to the viewer before the movie starts: lots of lives lost in a 1996 expedition because of a fierce storm on Everest.

For action adventure the scenery is great. The characters are believable and the outcome is true to life. The extras really show what the cast and crew put up with to get the punch in this movie. It will keep you glued to the movie and the ending, well you will have to see it!

This was a good movie. My wife and I both enjoyed it. Good casting and well acted. We liked the fact that it was based on actual events. We were definitely more invested in the story. Some beautiful cinematography and great special effects.

At first I didn't really know it was based on real life events and was pretty devastated knowing that some people did not make it. I guess there are people who need to feel that there is something bigger than they are however dangerous it is.

I have to insist that you get this in blu-ray or don't bother! It has incredible visuals that cannot be fully appreciated without blu-ray. A lot of this was filmed on location, which I think is amazing and it really adds to the experience.

I didn't get to see this movie at the box office, just couldn't get around to it.When I picked it up at Best Buy for an unbelievable price , I figured I couldn't lose.Turned out this is a great movie, a must see in Dolby atmos !

Having bought two 4k televisions, we wanted some fantastic action that really showed what the sets were capable of - this is one to see. Ive seen the movie in 1080 before, but 4k is absolutely stunning. Good film thats based on a true story as well,

I really liked this movie and it’s for all ages too watch I will not tell you what it is about that’s how good it is trust me if you don’t have it buy it it’s an awesome movie am 100% satisfied

After reading the book a number of years ago, I was skeptical when this was released as many times the book is much better than the movie. While the book was better, this was a great rendition of the actual story told.

Though I knew of the sad details of how this whole movie unfolded, this movie had me on the edge of my seat, holding my breath! Well cast and well directed, some would say Jake Gylenhall should have had a bigger role, but he can make an impact even with a smaller role

I didn't think I would be interested in this movie, but was I wrong. The challenge of mountain climbing captivated me, and the shocking tragic ending really happened. Well worth watching it in 4K for the great scenery and the snow blizzard scenes.

What a classic take your breath away film! Loved the cast, and the cinematography is amazing! I didn't know much about the events that is the subject of the movie, so I really enjoyed the journey it takes you on. BUCKLE UP - get a warm blanket and CLIMB EVEREST!!!!!!

Based on the book, 'Into Thin Air'. I was expecting the movie to be based on the writer's experience. Instead, the movie was centered around the leader of the summit group. It still was a really good movie with amazing scenery footage.

I saw this on a regular dvd and have been waiting for the 4K release. The 4K only enhances the great scenery in this movie. It is the closest thing to being there. Great story and a true test of survival. I gained a new respect for people who climb mountains.

The scenary at its best plus a grat movie.. i was hesitant on buying another 3D since no great releases have came out out lately but everest did not dissapoint if your looking to enjoy a great movie with good 3D effects grab yourself a copy of everest 3D bluray..

Everest delivers heart - pounding action to the end. Kinda reminds me of "Cliffhanger" by Sly Stallone. Although Everest was based on a true story, it delivered well and kept you suspensefully engaged throughout the movie.

The story and characters in the movie are the real people who attempted the ill fated 1996 ascent of Everest as described in the book "Into Thin Air. The converted 3D version I purchased was quite good, and the movie followed Krakauer's non fiction book very well.
