It may be a re-hashed story with an thin plot but the real star is the beautiful 3-D mountain shots. Very realistic...so much so that I've decided to scratch climbing Everest off my bucket list. And the price is right too.

I wasn't going to watch this as it looked like every other mountain climbing movie, based on the previews. I'm glad I watched it because it was a great surprise! It was a little bit different than the others in a very good way. Definitely pick this one up!

The movie was good. Fairly predictable story line, but great special effects. What I liked most about the movie was the high quality 3D ... there was no ghosting and great depth. At times, I felt like I was on the mountain too.

I love documentaries and movies about Everest so I was looking forward to this. It was pretty spectacular to watch in 3-d. Already knew the story so no surprises here. The cgi was a little over the top but overall a good movie.

This story in one of the most interesting, but sad climbing accidents ever. The movie does a great job retelling it on the big screen. IMAX 3D was the best way to see it, but this is a solid rewatch on the small screen.

Seeing this movie in the theater was breath-taking, with all of the hardships so magnificently displayed on the mountainside. To now see it in Blu ray in my own home brings back all of the spectacular but chilling memories of this unbelievable story.

This movie is incredible. A real life pictorial of the trials and tribulations that the climbers of Everest partake in. I can't believe the things that go behind the scene and the preparation that takes place. Check this out!

This movie is fantastic being that most people will never experience what is like to attempt to climb such terrain. Seeing it in 4k HDR is much better and safer. Excellent movie for your high definition library to display on a 4k tv.

Exciting movie that really makes you feel what it must be like to climb Mt. Everest: from the thrill of victory, to the agony of defeat, to the loss of life, and how that effects everyone around you, both on the mountain and back at home.

A captivating story based upon actual events. It satisfied my need to NOT climb Mount Everest. A movie that is enjoyable over repeated viewings. The video and sound are first rate, and the 3D version adds much to the realism. Highly recommended!

Best part of movie for me was the scenery. Dragged on a bit. I personally think people should have to pay for the help they need when they do stunts like this. Wasn't as good as I thought it would be with the cast it had.

This a great story that is very engaging. It is based on a true story, so it's crazy to think that this really happened. The movie was very well done. The acting was well done from all the actors and actresses. Overall, a greatly entertaining movie.

This movie is perfect. Visually it is incredible. It is so well done and the fact that it is based on the true story will rip at your heart strings. To buy this movie and not watch it in 4k ultra hd would be a disservice. Highly recommended.

Everest is a powerful, engaging and wonderfully crafted film that succeeds at capturing the spirit and emotion of its subject. Everest is highly recommended viewing that is well worth picking up on Blu-ray. The bonus features are well worth viewing.

I would NEVER consider climbing a mountain, but for some strange reason I find shows & movies regarding climbing very interesting. Of course, I had previously heard about this incident and was fixed to the TV screen watching this film! Recommend!

This is not the first time the tragedy on Everest has been told in movie (or book) form. I can't say this is my favorite version, but I did enjoy it and thought it was well done. Jake Gyllenhaal was great as usual.

Having been on Everest the story is a little too Hollywood but the Photography and audio is fantastic and a great test for my new Samsung :Smart TV and Bose surround sound. Have to rewatch once in a while to re-live the days gone by.!

From roughly 10 minutes in we were on the edge of our seats, with suspense. What a ride! Between the white blinding snow & the severe winds we almost felt like we were there. 3D is the way to go for even greater effects.

This video was a great adventure action movie for the home theater. The 3D special effects were great. The acting was excellent along with the locational shots. Overall I would tell my friends to purchase this movie for their home entertainment.
