My power supply in my gaming rig bit the dust so I decided to buy this unit. It had really good reviews and it had more wattage than my other supply. The most important thing though was this power supply was very easy to install and had all the cables I needed to do so!

I bought this open box and had zero issues installing it.

The power supply was working great when I first installed it. It seemed to produce a lot of heat and was very inefficient compared to my last power power supply a old thermaltake. I tested the power supplies with a kill-a-watt meter and the evga 850bq used about 45 watts more than the 12 year old thermaltake 750 powering the exact same system at idle. It could be a quality control problem since the power supply failed. I am once again using my reliable thermaltake power supply. The one issue I have with EVGA is the fact that I now have to pay shipping to send them this power supply that failed in the first 40 days of ownership. I thought I was buying a quality product at a good price and now I realize I could have gotten something better by the time I pay for shipping the supply back to California. Stick to buying Corsair or thermaltake power supplies, I have never had one of theirs fail.

Was exactly what i needed for my build. I liked that it’s a modular power supply, and so far it’s working great

I bought this to replace a Corsair 750 w which died after 2 years, hopefully this one will last longer. It was easy to install with the modular cables and there were plenty of options in the cables. It is as quiet as the Corsair but I have other fans running so not sure how much noise is power supply and how much is other fans.

Very powerful power supply and gave me a huge performance boost while using. Maybe the best one.

I upgraded from a teckmaster 750 power supply to evga 850 .resolved the problem w my computer shutting down when playing game would recomend for a mid range system .enjoy

It worked great on my gaming pc with an fx 9590 cpu that sucks up 220w, gpu is a gtx 1080, and 16gb of ram. This handled everything like a boss and the semi modular design is perfect for cable management.

I was a bit hesitant to pick up this power supply due to the reviews left by folks who did not have a good experience. I can happily report that this power supply has been fantastic and reliable in my build. I had no problem installing or testing the power supply and it is more than sufficient power to run my PC

I like that this item is plug and play with no additional configuration needed so easy to use, really handy and good quality also.
