I currently have a 1070 and have been trying to purchase this since launch. Would've preferred the FE but you gotta take what you can get in these times. Excellent card either way, makes 1440p gaming butter smooth on any game. Currently running with a 9700k, only problem is it runs a little hotter than my liking capping out around 78-79C. I decreased the power usage which resulted in lower performance but also lower temps, either way I cap out my 144hz.

The card does run a little hot. I would recommend getting an additional cooler of some sort. Went from a 1080 to a 3080. Couldn't even play COD in 4k on the 1080. I have it on ultra settings with the 3080 and it is running over 60 fps in 4k. Fantastic card.

Runs hot but just have to play around with the fan settings. Personally, I bought a hybrid kit for it to run cooler. Graphics are much better and I do not struggle as much playing at 1440P 120hz+. Worth the upgrade from a 1080TI.

This card is fantastic! I notice, upwards, of 50% more fps in every game at 4k when compared to my previous rtx 2080. Although, this card does get a little warm sometimes so that is a slight turn away. Other than that this card is fabulous.

Solid performance. Not compatible with iCue or Aurasync. But it runs quiet for me. So I'm satisfied.

Solid card, meh aesthetics with that silly red mouth looking thing on it. Temps are decent, definitely within spec and silent. Love EVGA's warranty and support, highly recommend their products over other manufacturers for this reason alone!

Price to performance value is insane on this card. It looks great and gets me 144 fps on Ultra RTX on 1440p in Cyberpunk. This card is extremely hard to get for good reason, it has the performance to back it up.

I got lucky and won the 3080 lottery. Upgraded from an Asus RTX 2080 and was wondering how much I'd notice the difference in VR use. The answer: A LOT. Playing DCS World on a Reverb G1 there was an immediate 50% increase in FPS. With some tweaking (okay, a lot of tweaking) I was able to also obtain a significantly sharper image while still keeping the FPS up. Of course I don't own anything that's much more demanding than DCS in VR. Regular games like Beat Saber or Blade & Sorcery are no problem for this beast. Max out the graphics settings. If you don't play in VR then the 3080 probably only makes sense if you're playing in 4k or at least 1440p. it would be overkill for flat screen gaming at lower resolutions.

Very fast and easy to install. Downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers and got the card up and running. Temps are pretty good and during game play, I couldn't hear the fans ramp up. Excellent card.

    Underrated aftermarket 3080

The EVGA XC3 is second to only the Founders Edition model for case compatibility. It is just a hair thicker than 2-slots, but as a result it can squeeze into some very compact cases. It also features an astoundingly quiet noise profile and very good thermals for those noise levels. EVGA's warranty, customer service and Step-Up Program also can't be beat by any of its competitors. So far the only practical downside I'm aware of versus other 3080s is that the XC3 Ultra has a fairly restricted power limit (only 107-108%) that is enforced at the hardware level.

This card is incredible. I upgraded from a RTX 2060 and I couldn't be happier. Also, for such a heavy card, there is literally NO GPU sag. That made me happy. If you can get your hands on one, DO IT!

Runs Cyberpunk like a slightly glitchy art show. Everything it's billed to be although the red lips are a slight deterrent. If you are in it for the performance its great bang for your buck.

Very capable card. If you can get your hands on a 3080 can’t go wrong with Evga. Holds well on 1440p max settings on everything I’ve tried so far. Get the FTW if you want rgb tho

XC3 is a beast. Not too flashy, sleek, and clean. I wish the whole bar of words was RGB instead of just the EVGA name, but that's okay and I am not too bothered by it.

At stock settings this card rarely reaches its advertised boost of 1755mhz even with sufficient cooling and power delivery. Evga/Nvidia have set a poor voltage frequency curve that cause it to constantly bounce up against the power limit of 320W and then clock down. You can still get decent performance with setting a custom voltage frequency curve in afterburner or precision X1. My card is stable in all games except Cyberpunk at 1890mhz and 856mV which gives performance on par with similar priced models from other brands. (YMMV based on silicon lottery). Conclusion: If you are willing to spend a few hours tuning the voltage frequency curve its as good as any similar priced model. If you only care about max performance and don't care about power draw or price go for a premium model with a higher power limit.
