I bought this during the bitcoin mining frenzy 2 years ago which is why I rated the value 2/5 but the overall 5/5. Without a doubt this card is amazing, I went from a EVGA GeForce GTX 660Ti to this 1060 6GB and was shocked by the power and performance and higher fps I also gained the ability to hook up a Virtual Reality system which is a plus. If you're playing Fortnite, GTA 5, The Witcher 3, or any game for that matter you will not be disappointed by this card at all, this card allows me to play Destiny 2 at 4K @ 60fps in a stunning display of new technology introduced like idle fans unless the card is under load which is awesome because it not only is quieter but it also prolongs the life of the card. At the end of the day should you invest in an EVGA GTX 1060 6GB? Yes, without hesitation you should invest in an EVGA card compared to competitors.

This GPU has me gaming at great FPS at high or ultra on games like Rainbow 6 Siege and Overwatch. It runs very cool and quiet. I would advise waiting until the cryptocurrency craze calms down and the prices normalize. I over paid, but the price has still gone up since my purchase. This should be a sub $300 card. It was easy to install and looks great in my rig. I will wait maybe one more year before my next upgrade depending on pricing. One star less just because of price.

I am using this GPU in a Akitio Node EGPU enclosure connected to my 2014 MacBook pro. On both MacOS and Windows this card crushes all games I have thrown at it on ultra settings at 1080p. Even under load its silent, and the thermals have been exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this card again.

Highly Recommended if you want good performance for Desktop PC gaming. If you wanna step up bigger then grab the 1070 Ti instead but make sure you have the processor to back it up cuz 10 series cards can pack a punch for gaming performance. They also save tons of energy on your electricity bill too compared to the 970 series cards.

This GPU has been amazing so far, exactly what i needed.. no problems at all. I used price match with Amazon to match their price, but the value is worth it evenbefore the price match. Couldnt be happier, has zero issues, the card is beautiful even without the backplate. Cant wait to test it out more with newer games.

The card works better than imagined. I upgraded from an XFX R8700 and the difference was great. This is my first Nvidia card and so I was a bit skeptical, but I'm thinking otherwise now.

Bought to mine etherium. Memory overclocks nicely to +800 on a 75% power setting. Will buy more, sorry gamers! You should be buying 1080s anyway!

I bought this card after doing some research online and deciding that it would meet my needs for moderate gaming. I picked it up at the store and got it home, installed it and powered it on, that is when things went wrong, I heard the fans on the card ramp way up, like and aircraft readying for take off, I immediately checked all my connections, everything was in the correct place and that's when I noticed the that only one of the two pre-installed fans was turning, it was running at max to compensate for the other fan sitting there doing nothing, I called EVGA, the representative was helpful but in the end we both came to the conclusion that it was defective. The next day I got up early and raced to the store where I was helped almost immediately with my exchange.

As someone who is always more concerned with getting the most value for my money as opposed to always having the absolute latest and greatest of everything, this card suits my needs perfectly. No, I won't be rendering and Pixar movies or playing every single game at ultra mega high settings at 4K resolution at 900 frames a second. But I will be playing all of those games at ultra settings at 1080p at nothing less than 60 frames a second, and I'll be doing it with load temperatures under 65C with virtually no cooling to speak of in my case. I can also handle VR once the headsets cost less than the card itself. The card is wonderful, it handles the current generation of games no sweat and unless you want 4k gaming or need 120hz and high settings at the same time all the time, this will do whatever you want and it won't cost you as much as a refrigerator. EVGA also has the best warranty around, even going as far as making it automatically transfer to whoever you sell the card to down the line. That's a nice piece of mind for one of the most expensive components in your PC. Bottom line: If you're looking for a card for 1080p gaming that plays anything you ask it to but doesn't charge you an extra hundred dollars because they overclocked it for you, this is the one.

The GTX 1060 is what you expect it would be. If you want specific benchmarks, check out the numerous benchmarks on Youtube and the internet. They will do a far better job than I can in this space. What I can tell you is that this was installed really easy and the GPU sag is fairly minimal for the case that I am using (Fractal Design R5). It is big and stays pretty cool under load. I haven't hit any instances of thermal throttling as of yet. Plays Madden and BF1 on High on a ultrawide 1080p setup. If you are looking for a 1080p card, this is the one to get at the moment. If you are looking for anything higher, consider a step up to a 1070.

This is an entry level mining card in terms of hash power. But, it is also very efficient. By turning power levels down to 65% and upping memory and main clocks, one can get ~22 MH/s DaggerHashimoto or 325 Sol Equihash at under 100 watts. Since it's EVGA, the cooling elements are effective and I trust this to last a while. If you don't care about mining, I suppose this would do a nice job playing games at 1080p.

    OMG!

OMG is this thing powerful and beautiful. So many people have asked me, what do you think about the 1060. So this card is designed to play at 4k resolution, and do 50-70 fps at 4k, a budget minded 4k entry. I play at 1920x1080, all of my games EASILY play maxed out settings. The gpu on the SSC runs at 2012mhz, but many of my games don't even need that. StarTrek Online for example, it only runs at 37% gpu at 883mhz, World of Tanks, 1044mhz, World of Warships, 2012mhz 42%, again, all graphics settings MAXED. Doom Vulcan runs on nightmare mode which my older 960 FTW played at med-high. This card has LOTS of room to play at 1080 comfortably, efficiently, and cool. This card is designed to peak out around 80C and play in the 60-66C range, but with the EVGA Precision software, it stays usually around 41-45C. I love the fact that i can expand to 2k or even 4k as the monitors become cheaper.

GPU prices are still slightly higher but Best Buy sold this for a good deal compared to Amazon/Newegg having $60 off. I chatted with Newegg and they looked at Best Buy and confirmed it’s the same card as theirs and that they won’t price match though. My upgrade is monstrous since I’m doing from Gefore 550Ti to this. I overclocked my old i7 2600k CPU from 3.4 to 4.4mhz and this GPU slightly by +75 base/+150 memory mhz. The frames I’m getting is excellent by testing on AAA games. I enjoy BF1 on Xbox, so benchmarked on the PC version and I’m getting 90-150FPS during gameplay on ULTRA settings! I bought a 3.9ft HDMI Dynex cable for $8.49 sale vs spending $20-$30 and just the same good results you expect. I highly recommend this product. EVGA has a Step Up program that lasts 90 days after you buy a card which allows you to upgrade from their site if prices fall. 5/5, this is an excellent product and the reviews saying 4.8/5.0 are true. Buy it if you’re on the fence like I’ve been for months. Got it for $309 and figured that’s good enough. Also free Next Day Overnight FedEx shipping

This card is awesome if it's at the top of your budget! If you don't care for all the bells and whistles and have a good monitor and can't wait any longer this is for you! It's fast enough and will allow you to play a lot of games with a lot of pretty settings and not lose out on frame lag.

Overclocks better then my msi 1070 gamer x z b db what ever the heck. Noise is okay compared to the msi card. I bought my 1070 two years ago for only 20.00 dollars more then this. Video card pricing is as volatile as there stocks. If the Xbox one x had windows OS I would give up this pc building. Still the most affordable and capable 1080p gaming card at 100+ fps for those higher hz monitors, and possibly the same for 1440p with a right graphic settings. (This all said using a i5 3570k oc to 4.6ghz on a cheap water cooler. Also to take in account the prices have dropped on all this generation of high end cards, 150.00 gets you a gtx 1080 or 100.00 more gets you a 1070ti. Which would clobber this card. And 100+ frames would come much easier for 1440p and ultra for 180p monitors. If you are reading this you are already contemplating buying a 300.00 card. And I would not buy a 1050ti or the 3gb version, a huge down grade. Guru3d has good video card benchmark charts. In no way affiliated to guru3d just a quick and easy way to compare cost and benefits.

Playing on a 1080p native resolution tv with video settings set to high on some demanding games, this GPU has not stuttered. Of course, it will on games poorly optimized (or not at all ARK), but that is hardly the fault of the unit. Very good GPU for the price.
