    So I have no computer skills and I installed it in just a few minutes. It didn't have a plug that fit into my disc drive so I called and their service people were great. By the way some hp disc drives have their own special plug-in that requires a converter that only HP sells. Just in case someone else had the same problem I did.

    I can barely hear the fan in this power supply when it's on; I bought this device for a computer I'm building for someone and I'm impressed with the features. For most builders it is a great economical choice that has all the power connections you're need (PCI express power, SATA power, etc) The cable sheathing is pretty sturdy and can easily be hidden if you are interested in good cable management.

    So far, I am very happy with my purchase. It is fast and runs quiet. The bad news isn't a complaint for this particular item, but for the EVGA power supply I had to replace (same brand as this one). It lasted less than six months. That said, the warranty process on the old unit was straightforward and fast and the replaced the item promptly. Based on that, I would recommend this item and brand.

    Power supplies in general are taken for granted. They just need to work. As a builder, I haven't given much thought to power supplies until recently. Power supply standards have evolved substantially over the years. EVGA has a good reputation, and has thoughtfully designed this power supply with a great feature set. They are a great value at the $50-60 price range. I did purchase a second one, so I guess I must like them.

    Price was right for what I needed but would recommend going with a Bronze certified power supply or better. This works for my test bench.

    Good little power supply. If money is tight you can't go wrong. Wish it was modular but otherwise nice and quiet and 600w is more than enough for most rigs.
