If you love the Evil Dead series and don't have this blu-ray yet, you are missing out. Packed with awesome bonus features (hours worth) and a great transfer of the movie itself. Also the 25th anniversary edition.

For me, this is easily the best of the Evil Dead series. The movie is so over-the-top and crazy. Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi work so well together. If you have any interest at all in this film, then I'd say pick it up. You don't need to have seen the first film.

When a group of foolish kids in a cabin mistakenly play a recording of satanic incantations and wake demons and other things in the forest, one of the--namely Ash, played perfectly by Bruce Campbell--rises up and saves the day...kind of.

I must be in the minority in regard to my views on this film, because I think that it is a big letdown from the original Evil Dead (which I regard as one of the best horror films of all time). The first half of the film is quite good, but then the film really goes downhill around the halfway point with the introduction of some really annoying (and badly acted) new characters. Also, the use of slapstick just becomes too much and isn't as clever as the filmmakers think that it is. However, for fans of the film, this Blu-ray release presents very good picture and audio quality and a ton of extras.

One of the greatness films of the 80s! And everyone loves Bruce Campbell, come on!

while this film is less scary then the 1st one it is still very memorable.

Bruce Campbell once again kicks butt as Ash. This is a very comedic horror movie with some good special effects. Decent amount of gore, but lots of Humor.

The blu ray enhances this movie greatly. 2 thumbs up...a must have!!!!

This predecessor to 'Army of Darkness' is ok, but is not as good as its sequel, and will not be enjoyed by everyone. Good anamorphic presentation and bonus features fans will enjoy.

Given that this Blue-Ray release is only marginally better than its standard dvd counterpart in terms of image quality, and because some of the bonus features available on many of the standard dvd releases are missing, I simply cannot recommend that anyone bother paying good money for this item, especially if they already own a version or versions of the previous dvd releases.
