Great film. Excellent 4K transfer. Tremendous replay value.

This movie has grown on me over time. It's a throwback to classic science fiction, but also very innovative. I'm very impressed by the work of the small cast.

The movie is great, but the 4k disc errorored halfway even with a brand new player and Q series Samsung tv, and we had to finish on the Bluray disk.

never seen a movie like this and was such a great breakout role for the main actors that put them more on the map i believe with their great performance. def recommend this.

Believable story about the interaction of humans with Artificial Intelligence. Seems like some possible clandestined operation that could happen in our society.

Great movie for someone who likes to think. Oscar Isaac gives an amazing performance. Watch it a second time and see it from Nathan’s view instead of Caleb’s.

I blindly watched this with no idea what it was about. I was blown away. One of the coolest/thought provoking movies I’ve ever watched. Must see.

This is a very good movie and the performance of the actors and actresses are very good. It raises more questions than answers but it is entertaining.

I feel like this movie sort of fell off and under the radar. It is very entertaining, though the premise is one most sci-fi fans will be well aware of: artificial intelligence. What makes this movie different, stand out? This is a bit of a slow-grind movie. As far as AI sci-fi movies go, this is not like I, Robot or the Terminator where there is action-packed scenes and violence at every turn. This movie focuses on the science, tech, and most importantly the ethics behind AI. Is it possible to not only manufacture humanoid computers for the good of mankind, but also possible to manufacture emotions and relationships? Can we blur the lines between what is natural and what is created? This movie goes in-depth into these kinds of questions. On top of the fantastic acting performances, the visual effects are spectacular - they really made the actress look like an animatronic robot. Overall this is a very entertaining movie.

Very good sci-fi flick. The quality of the 4K was noticeably better than the regular HD. This was an upgrade for me from just digital HD to 4K disc+digital.

Any fan of science fiction should watch this. The genre is live and well in this movie. Even those not fond of the genre might enjoy the flick.

A top class scifi film. Asks all the big questions. What does it mean to be human? Oscar Isaac is an absolute revelation in the film. Highly recommended.

Ex Machina heavily relies on CG to tell its story and watching it in 4K allows these renderings to really be seen in their full detail!

Everyone complains that there's nothing new in sci-fi; everything's a reboot, same story x has same story as y, too many paradoxes! Well rest assured, Ex Machina takes a break from your sci-fi conventions and puts your faith in humanity back on the table. The plot is neat and clean; multibillion dollar mogul invites employee to homestead to test run a prototype female A.I. humanoid. If it passes, profit, and we break the A.I./human barrier. A win-win. If it fails.... OK, so one trope is still going to never die. Ex Machina is actually a thriller, masquerading as a sci-fi movie. How far will you go to prove somebody else's autonomy? How far will you go to test your own creation and pit it against humanity's massive ego? How far can humans trust machines, and likely how far will machines trust humans?... Wait, can machines trust ANYTHING?! If these sound like questions you need answers to, then Ex Machina is a film that will make you wish you never asked them. It will also leave you gloriously pleased by it's gorgeous cinematography, it's gratuitous sexuality, and it's garish shockers. Ex Machina is a film that needs to be purchased (on Blu-ray) so you can be re-shocked again and again.

If you've managed to miss this movie up until now, do yourself a favor and scoop it up. Amazing soundtrack. Oscar Isaac kills in this movie.

The first copy I got of this film was faulty and I had to get a new copy but luckily the new copy I got works perfectly!
