Love the storyline and how something like this could be true in real life very interesting and kept me going

Movie starts off slow, then it gets pretty good. Definitely worth a watch if you're bored.

This movie starts out like much like the movie "The Circle" where a naive employee is thrust into upper management with little preparation or understanding. After winning a sort of "golden ticket" the main character is taken on a retreat to the eccentric CEO's home which is a technology dream home. He encounters an artificial intelligence robot which eventually becomes the girlfriend he never had and the he wants to redeem and save her from the oppressive environment of the CEO. Things go haywire from there and a rather dark 2001 Hal type transformation occurs. Other than this movie being unbelievable, it has a Westworld sort of feel without any of the explicit images or scenes. If you like Sci-fi movies, this must be on your list--especially because it won an oscar for special effects.

Such a cool movie and really gets the mind thinking. These are the best kind of movie.

Overall a good movie, and excellent CG, however, the nudity was excessive and unneeded.

Artificial Intelligence is a cliché waiting for a plot. And true to form, Ex Machina eschews the clichés' in a hovering fashion, much like a cloud of thick smoldering crowd above a basement poker table. The thought process is a character herein should not be discounted as simply expected. All of the allusions to previous books, quotes and mythology are unearthed in constant bravado, playing down to those like me who are not as familiar, but that end result comes across as admitted plagiary. What we have here is a Stanley Kubrick-esque tension that is both magnetic and terrifying. Our leads all play their part well, but Oscar Isaacs' puppeteering is not just stereotypical, but boyishly charming and honest. There is considerable frontal nudity that reminds you of the prolific use of pornography on the internet, proving that man continues to spiral down due to the lowest forms while the AI aspires to be human, but in the end, we are all a bit transparent in who we are, pun intended.

The special effects were fabulous The story will keep you on the edge of your seat.
