    Visually Amazing, Questionable Casting Decisions

Like all Ridley Scott movies the visual imagery was stunning throughout and the scale was grand to behold. Christian Bale did a great job as Moses, but the rest of the cast seemed out of place with really bad spray tans. Overall a fun film, but some parts just seemed out of place.

Ok so the trailers made this seem like an action movie set in biblical times when in reality it is a dramatic take on the life of a biblical character and I can't stress that enough in the sense that it focuses more on the character than action. Which is not a bad thing.

    Great Loose Adaption

If you are interested in a loose adaption on the story of Moses...This is it! I love the way the Director attempted to showcase GOD without going overboard with detail. Mostly because the research was historically done and not spiritually done. I truly believe that this movie is the stepping stone into movie makers tapping into these spiritually/Inspirational stories..... Cast wise...I thought it was perfect....would have been nice t expand on the relationship between Moses and Joshua...but cant complain about the movie... GREAT TRIBUTE TO TONY SCOTT

    One last 3D movie

The 3D presentation of this movie was phenomenal and the DTS-HD soundtrack was really impressive. The storyline of Moses leading the slaves from Egypt is one that should not be missed and Ridley Scott directs a great team of actors in this must see film.

    Fund movie but not Bibical

This was a fund movie to watch but it was not very close to the what the Bible has to say. For example, the movie shows a young boy who played the part of God. Also, the movie showed the plagues just sort of happening without Moses warning Pharoah of each successive plague.

    Movie Review

Although not made in the classic sense to the standard of the original 10 Commandments, this re-make does provide some stirring moments and is relatively religiously ambitious in re-telling the Biblical story. Recommended at least as a family friendly movie for all to enjoy.

    Great Effects, Good Movie

I know there are many Christians who do not like this movie. I can see a few points where artistic liberty has been taken, but nothing on the level of Noah, where the Bible was almost completely disregarded. In the end, Exodus still gives God the credit.

I was really looking forward to seeing this movie and I feel it lived up to my expectations. The movie is pretty long and can be slow at times but I enjoyed it anyway. The way the movie portrayed Biblical happenings was cool to see and the acting was very good.

If you take the movie for what it is, it is a good movie. If you are one that takes the literal meaning of the bible then you may not like it. There are parts that you may disagree with but this is the interpretation of the director and I think it was well done.

I didn't get a chance to see this movie at the theater so when it came out on DVD I didn't hesitate to buy it. I thought the movie was great with the exception of the plagues seemed out of order and the very ending seemed rushed. Overall I did enjoy the movie.

Overall this was a good movie. I felt that it could of focused more on moses' birth and being found in a basket on the river. Also another i have another issue with the movie not mentioning his staff and splitting the river, the left that oart out completely

Pretty good movie with the special effects...not as good as the epic Ten Commandments...but pretty sure they were not trying to compete. They don't make great movies like that anymore, but with today's tech, this one was OK for some entertainment.

Bet you didn't know God was a spoiled little boy with an attitude problem. This is just one of the revisions Ridley Scott made to the Bible. If you think the Bible is...well, Bible, don't watch this. As Judeo-Christian fantasy fare, this is quite good.

    good movie, some compromise

put together maintaining basic biblical principles however there was some compromise in this movie. The challenge for movie makers is to fill in the blanks, if you took the Bible and read it, it won't read the story for 2 hours that the movie portrays.

    Fleshing out history

Like most historical stories that are imagined in the cinema arts, the drama of dialog and freshness of visuals are paramount. The retelling of the story of Moses is beautifully accomplished, in a straightforward fleshing out of religious history.

I liked Exodus Gods and Kings, I thought that it was quite enjoyable. It had a few flaws but what movie doesn't. I liked it and thought that it did a good job of making me entertained. I would recommend this to a friend.

While the story is at times a bit convoluted, Exodus Gods and Kings is nonetheless entertaining. It combines awesome visuals of the various plagues, and great special effects. The only worthwhile performance in it is Christian Bale as the lead.

Do not listen to everyone. this is a good movie and a good story. No matter what people tell you. Just remember that they were not there to see how these events actually took place no matter how much they believe they were. Its just a movie.

I am building a collection of good 3D movies and all of these qualify. This group includes: Live-Die-Repeat (not really a Tom Cruze fan but a good show), Point Break (not much of a plot but great stunts and cinematography), Mad Max Fury Road (Lots of inane action), Life of Pi (had this in 2D, 3D brings it to life), Exodus Gods-and-Kings (a novel retelling of the biblical classic), X-Men Days of Future Past (a nice addition to this sci-fi franchise).

I enjoyed this movie but something was missing. The casting was very hard to get use to (Germans playing Hebrews??) but it's called "acting" for a reason. In the end I liked it... It's not easy going up against the classic Ten Commandments.
