I found the film great, visually (3D). I was struck by the different causes for the miracles that happens (compared to the Charleston Heston version). Seemed reality based. The basic story line remains intact. Great epic action sequences.

The plot: Exodus: Gods and Kings is the story of one man's daring courage to take on the might of an empire. Using state of the art visual effects and 3D immersion, Scott brings new life to the story of the defiant leader Moses as he rises up against the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses, setting 600,000 slaves on a monumental journey of escape from Egypt and its terrifying cycle of deadly plagues. Great movie with excellent special effects! My new favorite! Especially in 3D :o)

The film was good although not exactly as i remembered from Sunday school. Still an entertaining picture overall of the exodus from Egypt. Ridley Scott made it a little long and it takes a while to get moving but still a good film.

This movie deviates from the original Charlton Heston movie, "The Ten Commandments" . If that's what you are looking for, you will be disappointed. A child, not a voice from heaven, gives Moses his instructions. I thought that was dumb. Moses carries a sword, and not a staff. This movie also does not really cover the 40 years they wandered in the dessert. It also does not emphasis or cover God giving Moses the Commandments. I liked the movie, not for a story from the bible, but for the action and the story line. I do not recommend this movie if you want an accurate presentation of the Bible or a duplication of the original 10 Commandments.

Ridley Scott's recent film isn't among his best, but it is still a pretty good epic film with some good 3D, acting and effects. The extras are amazingly thorough and deep and every facet is covered in this great 3D Bluray release

Obviously not as good as cecil b demills the ten cammandments .No one can equal charlton hestons performance in the original old style epic of hollywood. But still not bad to watch with a modern spin on the story.

The tale of Exodus has been brought to the screen several times before. While not the best version,Ridley Scott's take does add some new twists and is very large in scale.Worth a watch and a amazing selection of special features.

This film had dreams of grandure... unfortunately the casting was questionable and created a somewhat unbelievable story, if you can get past some of the miscasting overall it is a visual pleasure to watch!!!

Almost didn't purchase this movie after reading mixed reviews. True...it's not Gladiator, but still found it intertaining and the visuals were great in 1080p. Over all I thought it was pretty good, I'm happy with the purchase.

Another take on the Ten Commandments tale. It's been a long while since the Cecil B. DeMille epic, and probably more factual, but it is a bible story. This is not a great fuilm, but it's stunning to look at, especially in 3D.

I enjoyed the new rendering of the ten commandments. Although the special effects were weaker than I thought they would be, it was quite entertaining. It didn't develop the characters like the original did, but it was good.

This movie is well made with great visual special effects, amazing costumes, set designs and good acting but the storyline definitely has a been given a Hollywood treatment. Worth a watch but take it with a grain of salt.

We trust in God. Moses is big prophet in the Old Testament. He is the writer for the first 5 books in bible. The story reveals Jesus is the Christ, the Messia, the king of Kong’s that Jews have been expecting and waiting for. However, unfortunately, not very Jews believes so. I am pretty sure Jesus’s second comming will be around the time when every Jews believes Jesus is the Messia.

I selected this movie because I like watching biblical movies and this is very Hollywood. I really did not care much for this movie and the script. But I like the actors and some of the graphics.

This movie was panned in some quarters, but I really enjoyed it. It had amazing sets and the CGI was outstanding. I do not know how historically accurate any of it was, but it certainly had more credibility than Noah!

I just love 3d movies and this is no disappointment. Of course my favorite scene is when the water separates to allow the escape and then returns to drown the pursuers. great effects , great story and visually stunning

This films checks all the right boxes. For some, the story of Moses has been told and retold enough to where this film might seem unnecessary. Bale and Edgerton's performances are worth the price of admission alone.

Gods and Kings is a good movie. It has lots of action and drama. I did not find it Scripturally accurate, but is a good basis of the story and a good starting point for further exploration of the Biblical account. :)

This is an interesting re-make of The Ten Commandments with some great special effects. I enjoyed comparing the two. Though both were good, the newer version, Exodus, Gods and Kings, has glitzier special effects.
