Its a awfull and terrible movie.....I wasted my money in this garbage...dont buy it

Great story of Moses from the Bible to watch with the family . Young and old enjoyed.

poor 3d effects terrible acting too long could never replace the ten commandments!

this is actually a religious show and i couldnt stand it

Director Ridley Scott has an interesting take on the traditional biblical events surrounding Exodus & the story of Moses. In this remarkable & well made movie with amazing visual special effects, great costumes, marvelous set design, & good acting we have the story from the Old Testament transformed for modern viewers in the form of a secular sequence of events where the God of the Jews is portrayed as an imaginary image inside the mind of Moses (Christian Bale) motivating him to action. I did like the way the movie portrayed both Moses and the Pharaoh, and the scenes depicting ancient Egypt were stunning to say the least, but found that the story for me personally could not be taken seriously with out the traditional depictions (light or heavy) of a divine & all powerful super natural God. I unlike others who themselves maybe of an extreme political or religious affliction that might be offended by this movie, still managed to really enjoy the film and did not find any offense to the movie's depictions (even if it did not coincide with my own take on the events). The portrayal of God as a whining youth I found to be just plain silly, & the scene of Moses on Mt. Sinai carving the Ten Commandments himself is Ridley Scott's interpretation of the events (but not necessarily the way I interpret them since the traditional story defines the laws carved on stone by the hand of the all mighty God himself). This is a good and enjoyable movie regardless if one is religious or secular, and one should take the film as it is, pure entertainment and an artist's own unique vision. Liked the battle scenes, liked the special effects, liked the scenes showcasing Ancient Egypt in all of it's beauty and glory, but in the end unlike the traditional and older Charlton Heston - Cecil B. Demill version, I was not emotionally moved in any moral fashion and came away obtaining only mild entertainment from this film.

If you have Scott's other 3D movies (THE MARTIAN and PROMETHEUS), then you already know how beautifully Scott shoots in 3D. Same is true here. The 3D enhances every shot...beautiful to behold. Extra star for that! As for the film itself, there seem to be large chunks missing/cut. Heck, Sigourney Weaver only has 2 or 3 lines! Perhaps in the future there will be (like KINGDOM OF HEAVEN), a director's cut that will improve it greatly.

Even though the movie is done in an almost realistic way and not a magical way, the story and visual still make this movie very enjoyable. I prefer realistic actually. The 5+ hours of extra is very welcoming and that's not including commentary.

People slam this movie..i know is NOT all that and true by book,but was interesting & special effects was Amazing ..specially in big screen ,or might some of you like me.. GOT theater/projector room in house..this is the movie must seen..i givers it B

The movie was a great spin of the classic musical we all grew up on with its own new age storyline. I love every moment of the movie and would recommend to those whom love the classic "Annie"

Exodus was much better than I thought it would be, as long as you weren't looking "too hard" for a religious message. Good entertainment, and just thank God it's not another "Noah"!

This movie looks great on my Sony 850C, I am very pleased with the UHD upgrade and will only be buying UHD discs going forward. I only wish they made them in 3D or sold them with a 3D disc so that I don't have to buy another copy to watch the 3D version.
