One of my favorite movies, I like the effects and sound.

Critically panned movie. Don’t listen to them! If you’re the critical person who picks over every detail of a movie, then don’t buy/watch it. But if you’re like me and like the 1 1/2 - 2 hour escape, this is a really good flick. Christian Bale’s turn as Moses is a modern rendition and even though some of the story from the Bible has been altered, it’s a fun ride. Enjoy it for what it is...A MOVIE!

I thought the movie was done pretty well. I knew Hollywood would take some liberties with the story, so wasn't surprises, but overall I thought it was an entertaining movie. I'm not going to nit pick about details that differ from the Biblical writing of how it transpired. That would take up too much time, and unlike the movie Noah, which is so far removed from the Biblical story, I was pleasantly surprised by this one.

It's modern CGI and typical modern movie photography - and does a decent job at preserving the spiritual integrity of the story. Certainly not the charisma of actors that put flair into the role. It's strength is in photography and the familiarity of storyline, which at time is drowned in modern cinema technique, and CGI. Not any real powerful character development. That's why I did not give it 5 stars.

Great plot, great imagery. Movie played flawlessly

I really like the movie, it had really great effects. If you are used to watching the Ten Commandments every year at Easter time, then you may struggle with it a little. Ramses in the Exodus version is much nicer than in the older Ten Commandments. There are some differences, such as more plagues being shown. I don't want to say too much and ruin the movie for you. I am glad I purchased the movie and I will watch it again.

If you are all about the mystical tale of how Moses freed God's people from the Egyptian King, you will undoubtedly love this one from start to finish. It is grand, it is massive, and it is performed exceptionally by the cast. Christian Bale is an obvious stand-out as he captures the fury that must have overtaken the real Moses a couple thousand years ago, but also has the poise and depth as an actor to also show Moses' compassion as well. I would hesitate in saying this film is for kids of all ages; if you are thinking about a person younger than 13 watching it, that is totally subjective on account of some violence and major thematic elements. All in all a great film done by one of the masters of cinema in Ridley Scott.

I want to start off saying that all the accounts portrayed in this particular movie was not actually accurate. Some parts were accurate according to scriptures but not all scenes stayed with the accounts according to the ancient scriptures. The special effects were good and the movie was entertaining. Acting I thought was good and the picture will keep your interest.

Great movie but some very important events were left out. If you're going to recreate a book of the Bible you must not change the way events happen. A was looking forward to seeing the Red Sea being divided in 4K, but in this movie that part was left out the water only subsided when they walked across, but other than that it was a great movie

an interesting movie that spurs to ask questions about what really happened - it sticks to the story well, but ends rather short on ending - definitely leaves you on a cliff of asking but what then - so no real beginning and no real end - kind of leaves you short - making me wonder if there is to be an additional movie sequel - a bit slow moving at some points

This story is so twisted from the original, acting is good however

This was an extremely entertaining motion picture, especially in 3D. The movie dramatized actual events and at times attempted to explain the miracles as an act of nature. In my opinion the spectacal would have been improoved by using the cgi to depict the miracles in a more litteral way. Then I could have given five stars.

The movie was pretty good. I didn't like the change, the 10 Rules of God section, it took away from the original burning of the tablets. The kid as a messenger was different as well, however the punishment he brought was beautifully relayed. It's worth the purchase! I would recommend the 3D version, it played well on my Ultra 4K 3D TV. Give it a try folks.

Anything that gives glory to the book/word of the Lord and done on such a big scale is a must get to me or at the very least a must see for the whole family but with that said they could of went into a little more detail they down played and left out some great parts/lines of the story, in other words it could of been better but all in all it was good.

This just doesn't compare th Charleton Heston original movie..

Great overall movie with interesting actors & amazing visual effects. What the movie lacks in depth of plot, it more than makes up for with great scenery, beautiful backdrops, and awesome action sequences. The special features are numerous & the Best Buy 3D version has an extra on-disc behind-the-scenes look that makes it worth the early purchase.

I wasn't dissatisfied with the movie and I feel that the Blu-ray copy is of a high quality standard but I think they took some liberty with a bit of the story line has well as they could have added more of the biblical part of the story and still can't but exciting. I liked it enough to go ahead and buy it when it was at a good price.

Not as much character interplay between the 2 brothers (Moses & Pharaoh's son); also shows God as an unbelievable boy rather than an unseeable deity. Good Special Effects as to parting of Red Sea; the other 9 plagues are described less effectively. The original with Charlton Heston Yul Brenner was better. Good entertainment for an evening.

This movie has great effects and the 3d was very good, the story of Moses is a great one and the movie captured some of the thrills of just how things were back in those days, the action seems were very thrilling and the sounds were coming from everywhere, awsome how far movies have come and can't wait for future movie making, great movie.

Sometimes things happen in the movie and they don't explain how it happens, they don't make it obvious that a natural occurrence is the cause, OR that God was the cause, things just happened in Moses' favor, which is okay, not bad, not like Noah, just okay. I liked the film, but then the ending wrapped up way too fast.
