As a standalone movie perhaps it is good but is part of the Harry Potter universe I did not like it that much. My family on the other hand did enjoy the movie. It's a matter of taste I guess. Oreo

A decent movie that develops some back story to the Harry Potter universe but is so disconnected from the rest it hardly matters whether it took place in the same universe or not. Special effects are really great, as is the surprise casting reveal at the end, but the plot is rather basic and there's very little character development compared to the Harry Potter movies (and much more less than the novels.) I admit I had high hopes for it and was left disappointed. Tolerable if you liked the Harry Potter series, otherwise move along to something better.

Quality of 4K is great. Movie overall was slow paced. Fun for a Harry's potter fan, but doesn't hold up well on its own. Big let down that digital HD copy is only available on Ultra Violet app.

It's ok. Don't want to slam it but it's very disjointed. It could have been a lot better. I also never care much for any of the characters other than the beasts. Simply not that likeable.

Not my favorite in the JK Rowling world. Picked up to watch BC could find a way to stream it. Got it o some Black Friday deal

animation was good not great and the story seems to be boring. the reason I bought this movie was when I was watching the preview it looks great but after seeing it i'm a bit disappointed.

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and felt this movie was nothing more than an excuse to ring more $$$ out of the franchise, the plot was convoluted and quite frankly boring, hang it up already.

I like all of the aspects of the movie except that the HD copy of the movie was not included as it was in the other movies I purchased. I like hard copies of my movies in case of crashes.

Good movie for kis and adults. Movie had ultra hd format which did not work in my Best Buy purchased Sony video player even though player has ultra hd in big letters on front of player.

It is actually a 5 star Moviei. I loved it. But when I came home with it it was damaged from the spine. It is good either way, I somehow managed to find it moths later the release.

Did not live up to expectations. Interaction with actors and C.G. characters does not feel real. The plot is also somewhat shallow. Still worth watching -- just don't expect too much.

I guess this is spin off of the Harry Potter series. It is not as good as those, but a pretty good kids movie. 3D was great, all kinds of things constantly flying out of the screen.

Fantastic Beast is one of the weaker Harry Potter films. The political metaphors are about as subtle as a brick to the forehead. I will say though, the 4K disc looks great.

This movie was not as good as the harry potter movies however is reminiscent of them are the characters were not as well thought out in the script line is not is engaging

Not up to the standards of the previous HP films. Starts very slow. If you take that long to get going, you should be able to layout the characters better and have more depth.

Still enjoyed the movie. Did not give a 5 star because something was wrong with the disc. We finally got it playing without incident after several attempts.

This movie had its good points. But it took a while to get there. Now, if you've seen all the other Harry Potter movies, I wouldn't blame you for checking this one out.

It was an ok movie. If you go in expecting Harry Potter then I think you'll be disappointed but if you go in and take it for what it is, I think you'll have a good time.

Typical fantasy movie with extraordinary sights! A very well done movie that is quite entertaining if you like the Happy Potter series this will suit your taste well.

There's some issues with the narrative trying to stuff in too much exposition, but fun characters and some cool creature effects help to make Fantastic Beasts work.
