I love the movie. It was cheap and easy to find!!!

The movie itself was interesting with a slow burn, however, the film itself looked great on Blu-ray.

A new fantastic storyline added to the harry-verse.

Movie was really good I watch it every day an nite

Though I'm not a Harry Potter fan, I absolutely loved this movie. It was definitely my favorite movie of 2016. I enjoyed all four main characters and found them very relatable. Having adult main characters instead of kids is probably one of the things that made this movie more appealing to me than the HP movies. There is a nice blend of humor and drama. I was afraid Jacob's character would be too slapstick and just filler, but he was vital to the story and offered a great point of view. All the actors did a wonderful job, especially Redmayne. I also enjoyed the setting of NY City in the 1920s. Very refreshing and well done. My favorite part of the movie is the Niffler. I hope he gets more screen time in the next installment. He really is a scene-stealer.

All of those who have grown up watching Harry Potter and thinking this might not be up to their expectations, my advice to them is, give it a chance and you're never gonna regret it. If Queen Jo can create a truly magnificent magical world before, why are you putting her abilities to enhance the magic beyond limits to doubt??? This is her first, as a screenwriter and it is splendid and she has bound her audience in the magical world, they had already quit trying to escape. Eddie as an actor has proved again that he has got what it takes to bring the character to life. Newt IS Eddie. It's refreshing to see new faces in the same scenario that we grew up with. Of course, you'd miss Harry Potter, but this is something worth watching.

I suggested it to my son. My granddaughter loved it and actually read the first harry potter book.

I was happy with the show. And am looking forward to the others in the series when they come out.

I really liked this. The special effects were believable and we'll done & kept within the time period. The Beasts in the case were well thought up and brought to life. There was enough mystery/suspense to keep you hanging. After all the HP movies, you'd think the ideas would have all been used up, but this movie proved, there's a whole universe of ideas. I can't wait to see what comes next, unfortunately it's going to include Depp. I have to say that every single actor actress was perfectly chosen for the part they played, every single one, except Johnny Depp (sorry, just my opinion). No one else could have played the part of Newt, no one. Redmayne plays awkward like a violin--perfection. I also really liked Queenie, what a beautiful actress.

This movie is good to see with the family, This is great of the saga of Harry Potter.

Easy purchase, in and out of the store in no time, and earned some best buy points too.

I don’t think this is as good as the main line movies, but it was fun. Spouse liked it a lot.

The concept is unique but not supported by any theory of how these fantastic creatures came into being. While sound effects are awesome, CGI lacked quite a bit for a 2016 movie. The story of unfortunate bakery-man in parallel makes you want to like the movie due to emotional drama. Main actor's performance was genuine. Good family movie.

Overall, this is a nice entry in the Harry Potter universe. The movie feels like it takes place in the same universe, just earlier in time. The cast feed well off of each other and solidly portray their characters. There is a big reveal at the end which is easily predicted but still fun. Eddie Redmayne would sometimes come off as an awkward person just for the sake of being awkward (think of Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory, a show that I absolutely hate) and there wasn't much substance behind that. We were never given a reason why his character was strange, it was just something that we were supposed to accept. CGI was top notch as were the set designs and costumes. The plot was a little lacking and there was one part of the movie where I cringed (mainly because it felt like it was written for a 2-year-old). Other than that and the occasionally forced awkwardness of Newt, the movie is pretty solid. I don't recommend spending more for the 3D release as it didn't add much to the overall experience (not unless you own a 3D projector).

It was nice to get more of the Harry Potter wizarding world in Fantastic Beasts. Especially since this takes place in America in the 1940s, well before the events in Harry Potter, so it's all new story. Seeing the early wizarding times and how things are handled in America was fun. The story sets up the next trilogy of films and introduces Grindelwald who is reference in the books as the villain before Voldemort. My only complaint is that sometimes it's hard to understand Newt Scamander played by Eddie Redmayne as he tends to mumble and speaks quietly, probably as an acting choice for the character, but still makes it difficult. You may want to turn on the captions/subtitles occasionally.

Big Harry Potter fan so it's an interesting take on the whole franchise, I liked it

An imaginative prequel with a likeable cast and a creative mix of creatures to enjoy.
