||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good, pre-Harry Potter romp through the wizarding world in the first of what is rumored to be a 5-film series. It follows the adventures of Newt Scamander as he arrives in New York on his way to Arizona to release a creature in his posession. While in New York, a number of his magical beasts escape so he has to round them up. Whilst doing this, he encounters the American faction of the wizarding world as they are trying to uncover the mystery behind a series of crimes that could reveal their existence to the No-majs ( Muggles as they call us "non magical folk" in Europe.) The crimes are being caused by what will be a recurring character across the 5 films. Someone who is not nearly as friendly as Scamander. So jump in now and you won't fall behind. It's a lot of fun. And yes, there are references to characters that are still around in Harry's time.
