This is not Harry Potter, but it was a lot of fun, I hope there is more to come. We watched at the theater first and liked it so much I bought it on Blu-Ray. The creatures were well thought out and presented very well on the screen. All the actors did a wonderful job as well.

I loved Fantastic Beasts as much as the other Potter movies. The creativity, imagination, vivid color, and the heart of the protagonist work together to make this a wonderful movie. Highly recommended.

This incredible movie is a must-see for Harry Potter fans! It provides historical view of Harry Potter's world. Even if you’re unfamiliar with the Harry Potter series, you will enjoy this movie with it’s non-stop action, amazing special effects, and entertaining story!

I am not a big Harry Potter fan, it just isn't really my thing... that being said, I very much enjoyed the fantastic beasts, this being the first time seeing it. I would recommend it to anyone who likes seeing interesting creatures created with a bit of magic

Not as good as the original Harry Potter stories, but an entertaining movie and worth watching. It helps if you remember enough from the Harry Potter books to recognize some of the references. Some of the parts are a little too silly and targeted at kids, but hey its a Harry Potter movie - kids are the target audience! If you are a grown up just go with it and don't take it so seriously.

Fantastic movie, no pun intended( well, maybe a little) The movie takes place long before the Harry Potter series, and really doesn't have much to do with it, so if you are looking for a full blown prequel, you'll be disappointed, but if not, you'll really enjoy this movie.

...not quite as good as the Harry Potter movies. Couldn't get a grasp what was going on for quite awhile, didn't know that the "newspaper" clippings they were flashing by in the beginning, at practically too fast to read speeds, would play such an integral role in the movie, wish they would've slowed that down a bit. Overall, an entertaining movie, but pay attention to the beginning!

First saw this movie after binge watching all of the Harry Potter movies. 1920's New York is a very drab backdrop compared to Hogwarts, but I had to see the movie a second time to see that it really has heart and great characters. I am excited to see where this story goes.

I love everything Harry Potter so I was really excited to see this spin off. J.K does a great job bringing this creature loving character to life. And the beasts themselves are so well made and creative. The story is great as are all the cast. Can't wait for the next movie!

This delightful story has a great message about caring for people and other species we don’t understand. It’s as good cinematically as any of the other Harry Potter movies and gives the viewer background info that makes the HP books and movies even more enjoyable.

Fantastic beast is a good movie that fans of Harry Potter will surely love. By itself it is a good movie with great characters, but a somewha slow moving story. It won’t pull you in like the main movies/novels, but it does a fantastic job of setting up what may be the most important storyline in all of the Harry Potter universe. Must have for fans, and non fans will enjoy it.

Always a big fan of Harry Potter, this movie is just a fun addition to the story universe. Thankfully you don't need to know the rest of the lore to see this, so it's great for parents/grandparents too. Pricing on the 4K+BluRay was surprisingly good given how recent 4K is.

Even if you are not a Harry Potter fan this is a really good movie. If you are a Harry Potter fan you will love this movie and be able to pick out all the references. The hero in this movie is a likeable character and the CGI is great. Very creative movie and entertaining.

Don't compare this to the Harry Potter series otherwise you will be disappointed. Plain and simple. If you take it as a stand alone move, which it should be, the movie is great. Its when you compare it to Harry Potter that you have problems because this movie simply sets up the world, it hasn't dove into the depths of the story it can and will tell. Give it a shot and you won't be sorry

J K Rowling's story parallels the real world with its premise of a young magician striving to save endangered creatures valued more for their parts than their majesty. Introducing new characters and taking place in a different setting adds so much more flavor to the story.

After "Cursed Child" I had very low expectations for this movie but blew me away. There were a few moments it was trying too hard, but overall it was great. All the main cast was perfect for their roles, especially Alison Sudol as Queenie, who stole every scene she was in.

It was fun watching this again (I saw it a couple of times in the theatre). The extras on the Blu-ray are worth watching for the interesting backstory on how they filmed it--it took a lot of workers to build those sets. And who knew there were so many puppeteers involved.

This movie actually was better than it was the first time. There were far more plot points I picked up on the second time around. I really enjoyed the story and of course the acting was superb. This movie sets up what should be more great films in the Harry Potter cannon.

We have not been avid Harry Potter readers or watchers in this house. In fact, we haven't read or seen any Harry Potter books or films. The beasts looked so cool in the previews we were compelled to buy Fantastic Beasts when it came out. We were not disappointed at all.
