We saw this movie in theatres and just couldn't wait to be able to watch it in home. Great special effects and good story was added to the potterverse. Although a little slow at some points the story was great like reading a book. When it picked back up the action flowed rather well. You also get a great feel for the american wizarding community which is very different from our british counterparts.

I really liked this movie in the theater, and the Blu-Ray in this set brings back much of the feeling (if you have Surround Sound). I especially liked the Special Features because it was interesting to see how "old Harry Potter" movie people came back together to create this new story. I think it also helps that this movie didn't have a predetermined story like the regular Harry Potter movies did.

While the acting in the movie was very enjoyable, I was expecting a bit more in the beast department. I feel like the creatures in HP were far more fantastic than here.

This movie continues the growing world of Harry Potter. Set long before "the boy who lived" arrived at Hogwarts it immerses you deeper into that world. This is one of the first 4k movies we've bought and love the visual and audio clarity on our new 4k TV. If you loved Harry Potter you'll love this movie too. Can hardly wait for the upcoming squeal coming this December.

When we saw the preview to this movie our mouths drop and our hearts danced. Having five sons who play hockey makes it near impossible to go anywhere other than various rinks. Therefore we missed this in the theater and jumped right onboard to owning it without seeing previously. We were absolutely delighted. Does JK Rowling let anyone down??? NEVER!!! Buy this movie. It doesn't disappoint!

I thought this was more of a spin off of Harry Potter so expected to see some relatable characters. I didn't do enough homework I guess. Still an interesting watch.

I'm interested to see where this series goes, but it wasn't quite as magical as the original HP series. It lacked some of the discovery I loved in those movies and was a bit goofier than expected. Maybe the storyline will get darker and more "adult" as it progresses like HP did, but who knows. Either way, it left me wanting more and to see how they further expand the HP universe. That's always a good thing. I hope they continue to develop characters and plot-lines, and that the series doesn't turn into a emotionless cash-grab but again, who knows.

The movie format considering crispness, extra, sound, et cetera was good nothing to be dazzled about nor anything to frown upon. Consider this aspect as a basic in comparison to what you would expect from your typical Blu-Ray disc. Now the movie was entertaining and followed well according to the book. When you thought the Harry Potter saga was over comes around another movie that made you relive the prior movies. I found it enjoyable and worth watching. However, I think holding off until it comes down in price to at least $16 is more worth it.

While I enjoyed all HP movies and all the few books I read, FB helps to give the viewer a fuller view of the world stage prior to Young Harry. I love the movie and friends tell me the book is better (duh), but having read 4 of the HP series, I can appreciate how both movie and book world's describe same events, not unlike another book and it's chapters you may be familiar with.

First in what one hopes would be a 3-5 part Harry Potter-verse prequel series, Eddie Redmayne is believable as a quirky wizard sucked into the middle of something bigger and more sinister. Familiar names abound: those who know the lore will rush to find where these characters plug into the greater universe.

I very much enjoyed watching this movie in the theater and looked forward to seeing it on my 4K setup at home. Although the movie was as good as i remembered, the 4K quality was lacking, it didn't look any better than the Blu-Ray so I lost a few bucks on this deal. If you want this movie, stick to the Blu-Ray and don't spend the extra money on the 4K, you won't see any differences.

As a Harry Potter fan, you may have wondered what the wizarding world in The New World must be like. Well, now you have an idea, thanks to this movie. Even though it's part of Potterverse, it feels very original and captivating. I know people who don't think highly of the Potter series (yes they do exist out there) who enjoyed this movie, and if they did you certainly will.

Movie is fantastic, can't say anything bad about it... The package is super cheap and the digital copy is a bit misleading. Thought it would have came with an iTunes copy but it does not. Comes with a code for WB's proprietary app that you can download the SD version. Don't give me wrong I believe you can stream the HD version when connected to Wi-Fi, but when trying to watch it on the plane it looks like hot garbage as SD does these days. I would suggest to buy it only if you want the Blu-Ray, or you can just buy it on iTunes.

I could not wait for this movie to come to the theater. It was a great movie. It had a more grown-up theme to it. It had the Harry Potter feel to it. I enjoyed this movie. I could not wait to own it. I had to get this movie, needed a Harry Potter fix. If you need yours, this is your movie. As the title says, this movie was Fantastic. It's a movie for the whole family to enjoy.

Decent movie. Like the Harry potter references, and the world is pretty nice. It gives life back to a franchise that ended years ago, but, it still isn't as good as Harry Potter. The lack of characters that have any significance to the story is appalling, considering how hyped up it was. Every time I watch this movie (once), I cringe in slight pain knowing what could have been. Man, I miss the old days.

This was the first 4K movie that I've ever purchased, decided that I should start now to buy them so I won't need to upgrade a lot of Blu Ray disks later I really enjoyed this movie at the movie theater, and knew that I would probably want to watch it many times, like I have the Harry Potter movies. There was a few surprise twists an turns which made it more enjoyable.

A must see for Harry Potter fans. Great to see american wizards in NYC that in many aspects are more organized/sophisticated than their Hogwarts counterparts even though this movie takes place 6 decades earlier. A fun movie! Looking forward to the next one! Would love to see adventures of the main character at all the different wizard schools and countries around the world.

Lots of my friends said that they did not want to see this movie because it was just another Harry Potter. Well, those are lies! While it may have Harry Potter ties, the story and plot are nothing close to Harry Potter. I would put it as an "American Version" of how the USA would have handled people with Magic powers...minus the Salem Witch trials. Love the 4K Steelbook!!!

As a long time Potter fan, I wasn't sure how I felt about a magic movie without Harry. But, I was impressed. The beasts ARE fantastic (especially on blu ray) & with an extremely limited number of Hogwarts name drops, I didn't spend the whole movie cursing the wizarding world for making a movie about HP's world without Harry himself. I'll be eagerly awaiting the sequel!

First let me say I did not read the book so I do not have it to compare to. I saw this with family last year and it was a lot of fun to watch. It has a really great story and some really great characters. I have seen it on streaming video and had to go out and add the 3D version to my collection. I highly recommend this movie and can not wait for the sequel to come out.
