If you're a Harry Potter fan, or Eddie Redmayne fan, you will absolutely love this movie! It's light hearted and fun to watch. You fall in love with the main character, Newt, and his love for fantastic creatures (beasts). The rest of the characters in the story are great as well. This DVD/Blu-ray is amazing to have to your hard copy collection! Def get this movie!!!

Fantastic Beasts is an excellent edition to the Harry Potter series. The creativity found throughout the movie is incredible and awesome. Each creature is unique and the collection of the beasts continues to improve Rowling's world of Harry Potter. I adore the artwork on the steelbook case, especially since the niffler is one of my favorites.

Like the title suggests. Love the magical world? Loved Harry Potter? Yeah, you should love this movie too. The DVD and Blu Ray discs work perfectly. No problems. This version of Fantastic Beasts does come along with a digital copy, but it is not compatible with iTunes. So, if you are buying this to have a DVD, Blu Ray and an iTunes copy, buyer beware.

You will need to watch this a few times to get all of the fantastic hidden gems. Great story line and very enjoyable. I am looking forward to the next movie and so happy that J.K. Rollin has added this to the wonderful Potter world. Characters have good chemistry and it's a more adult HP movie, which is a nice departure. I would definitely recommend the 4K verison.

This is a great movie from the on-going Wizarding World of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter fame. Rowling continues to wow audiences with this next saga Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Yes, I've seen all the movies in theaters and now I want to own each DVD for my private collection. If you are a fan, buy it, keep it, watch it again and again!

This movie was done exceptionally well! My wife and I really love how Newt is a unique, non-standard hero. I also really enjoy the way most people referred to his animals as beasts, but he simply calls them creatures. This film really broke the mold of prequels not being as good as the originals. I cannot recommend this enough!!!

So I love the Harry Potter franchise and re-watch them all the time! Since this movie has to deal with the Harry Potter wizardly world went into this movie with that in mind and comparing it to Harry Potter. Which you shouldn't do since this one takes place well before Harry Potter is even born. I thought the movie was good but not great. I am still excited though to see the others movies they will release for this new franchise. lastly they sell this in 3D, it's really nothing special in 3D in my opinion.

I am not a huge Harry Potter fan, but I really enjoyed this movie. I liked the story and the magic and all of the animals. I really enjoyed the main characters in this movie. It was cool to see how everything worked together. I know that there are connections to the Harry Potter story and will be interested to see how the future movies make those connections.

Regarding the product -- I am pleased with the purchase; I prefer movies with Digital copy and this fit the bill. The movie itself was only average in my opinion. It builds beautifully the fantasy of JK Rowling's world with new creatures, effects, and locations. I just felt the overall wonder of the world + story left much to be desired; it didn't leave me at the end wanting more. A fine spin-off, but one that I don't have a strong desire to see milked by additional movies. Just my personal opinion!

Fiance bought this movie to watch some night when we had the chance to sit down together... well, she ended up watching before I had a chance to sit down, and all she could do is talk about how much she loved it. I watched it with her earlier, and I was a fan as well. Interesting movie, and had a little bit of humor in it. Pleased with our purchase.

After watching this action fantasy in 4K it's easy to see why people are buying 4K. Although you can' t yet play 4K DVDs on anything but a 4K DVD player and you need a 4K TV as well 4K pass through technology in your receiver to enjoy 4K resolution and clarity, once you do you'll never go back. Highly recommend a 4K upgrade. This movie , in 4K is a wild ride!

Eddie Redmayne gives a great performance embodying the rather quirky Newt Scamander. All of the supporting characters lend a light, yet insightful view of this "world before Harry Potter". I enjoyed it from the start and with this being the first of three, I am looking forward to more of Newt Scamander. I recommend this movie to those who enjoy Harry Potter.

This film helped answer some of the questions most Harry Potter fans (myself included) have about what had occurred previous to the events that took place in the books and films. I found the casting of characters to be spot on and the locations in New York to be truly rendered. I look forward to the hinted at films that will be following this films release.

J.K Rowling does it again! Only she knows how to create a world so vivid and so engaging. This film has that same magically innocent quality that left us hungering for more once Harry Potter grew up and moved on to better things. It's a chance to see more of this amazing mythology, and it's worth the time to watch. Prepare for another roller coaster ride.

Certainly a huge fan of the "Harry Potter" books and films, I wasn't sure what quite to expect with this new installment of the world of J.K. Rowling. I gotta tell you, I think I may have enjoyed this film even more than the Harry Potter series. As if J.K. Rowling wrote this one for a more grown-up audience. Loved it. Definitely add it to your collection!

I saw this in the theater and was excited when it came out. This is one of those movies that I had to add to my collection. Harry Potter prequel with an adult style of creativeness. It's really not meant for kids, like the other movies were. It's adult magic and adventure and sure to please the Harry Potter adult fans. Just a great magical movie fun!

Ok I would suggest that as a prerequisite to this movie you watch all of the Harry Potter films. Though it can act as a stand alone movie it will just make more sense to you. The movie is fantastic from start to finish. The acting is what you would expect from British Actors, excellent. The developing story is what draws you in and keeps you captivated.

Fantastic Beasts is a stand alone feature that requires you know nothing about Harry Potter in order to enjoy it. The setting is 1920's New York which is visually stunning. The performances are spectacular and hold their own against the special effects. All in all, I would recommend this film even if you have not ever known anything about Harry Potter.

Some good writing that tied in story lines together that let you feel good about some improbable happenings. Had good imagination with creatures and characters. Left you with hope in people and a question of when you make rules for the "betterment", Who is it really better for? I appreciate that Hollywood is bringing back more of the 3D versions!!!

The movie is pretty good...don't get me wrong and while magic abounds and familiar characters appear albeit younger and it takes place in a different time in history. While it expands on the Harry Potter Universe it doesn't quite capture the feel of the Harry Potter movies and I'm not quite sure it was intended too. The point is while some things feel somewhat familiar this movie could almost stand on it's own in a different universe. Still all in all it is definitely one for your collection.
