    The mainline Harry Potter films were never fully appreciable without a prior knowledge of the books. This film, which does not have a book to compete with, is more enjoyable as a stand-alone adventure. With a sense of humor and atmosphere of fun not present in the last few Potters, FB is a lighthearted family treat.
