I love almost every aspect of this film. The story is incredible, the actors are incredible, the scenery is incredible, and the costumes are incredible. Literally, my only problem with the film is Johnny Depp as Grindelwald, I like Johnny Depp, I don't think he was right for the role. That aside, the dvd is a great purchase.

Following the completion of the Harry Potter Seris, I felt like I had a huge void in my movie going/book reading life. This filled that gap spectacularly! I loved all of the new characters and plot lines that were very different but familiar enough to make me feel like I was visiting an old friend. I can't wait for the rest!

I was not a huge fan of the whole Harry Potter film series, especially as it got darker and scarier. I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. I love Eddie Redmayne. He is so charming as Newt. The whole cast is great. This first film is a great start to this new series.

I never got into the JK Rowling frenzy but nonetheless this movie is one of the very best I've ever seen. I have a plasma tv and an expensive HT room and the video and sound are reference material of the very best. If you have a great sound system and video display and want to impress your friends this the movie for you.

If you love the Harry Potter movies and universe this story is a cool little addition. If you are a 3D enthusiast like me you'll be very pleased. I've seen so many 3D movies that I rarely get startled, but there was a pop-out in this movie that literally had me jump back in my chair and go "aah!" Highly recommended.

To make it simple, if you liked Harry Potter you will probably like this movie to an extent. I didn't think it was particularly amazing, but there wasn't anything particularly wrong with it either. Just like the Harry Potter series, even though there are things about the movies that could have been better, the main selling point is that it is great to see these fantasy worlds materialize on the screen where they were once just words in a book.

This is a great buy if you are a fan of the movie, as the 4K quality of the film is really good (it looks great on my 4K TV even without HDR). The extra features on the 2nd Blu-ray disc are worth watching also as there are a number of deleted/extended scenes and numerous features about the making of the movie.

...and the saga continues! If you have read the Harry Potter books or are a fan, than this movie is for you. Great story, good character development and super creative, this movie continues on the path of the mystical, magical world J.K. Rowling has created. This is a movie to own and watch again and again!

This movie is a bit of a slow start. I hope the franchise picks up, but the Crimes if Grendalwald has not had very good reviews.

My nine year old son and I just loved this movie at the theatre. It is the first 4K movie I purchased because the special effects are incredible throughout the movie. The Harry Potter spin, the reference of Dumbledore and the fantastic beasts make this a very enjoyable movie, despite your age. Can't wait for the sequel.

I was not disappointed in this at all. Newt Scamander is a lovable wizard who simply wants to do what is right, but it doesnt always work out for him. This movie is full of the magical world we've become so familiar with and is a wonderful addition to the Harry Potter world. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

JK Rowling is amazing. Harry Potter is a classic. But this just feels forced. Great set and costume design, but lacking in plot

I am like most people in that I want anything Harry Potter to be about Harry and his friends. I know that is unlikely, but Fantastic Beasts is a good film that deserves a look. It feels like the HP world we know and love. It doesn't do for HP what Rogue One does for Star Wars, but if you like wizards and muggles, it's a fun ride. The steelbook is beautiful and serious kudos for including a 4K disc in the packaging. Let's hope that trend continues!

The movie is a good start to the new series, but on it's own falters a bit. Highly recommend it to any Harry Potter fans as it is fun to see a lot fo creatures and people talked aobut in the books not seen yet, and seeing a new time and place in the wizarding world. However the film plods along at times and is just so so until the end, but as a starting point to the new franchise it does it's job and introduces us to some great new characters.

This movie is a great film that is a stand apart from the kids Harry Potter storyline. The movie offers a good storyline for adults. It offers a magical world that is easier to follow then Harry. You can understand the lingo and the world even if you never saw the first 7/8. The director doesn't try to fit too much in.

While I think this movie is better than its sequel. I still don't think it is as good as the Harry Potter series.

Production-wise, this is a great prequel to the loved Harry Potter Franchise (and it looks amazing in 4K). It did lack a little of the character depth and love, but that opinion might be a little biased in comparison to the love we've grown to have with the Potter movies. Great overall though, and worth the watch. And with its own sequel in line, character development and our attachment to them should grow and make the films even more connected.

This was a great movie. With fewer characters, the movie was able to get right to the action. The only downside was the digital copy. Why can't we just download a copy to our ITunes library without all the hassles of Flickster or Vudu or Ultraviolet. I still didn't get the digital copy... But the movie was great...

Strange flick but it did provide special moments throughout the venture. Main character was kind of quirky but that only made him more special. CGI was spot on and emerged one into the story very well. On the heels of Harry Potter sequels this was different and incorporated some similar traits at times.

I am admittedly a huge Harry Potter fan. So, I am totally biased. However, if this movie had been rotten or otherwise done a disservice to the series, I would be panning it, to say the least. Thankfully it is a good movie that provides the series a new perspective, as well as bringing the story to America. Yea Yanks!
