We bought this Blu-ray without seeing Fantastic Beasts in theaters. This is a wonderful movie and even better in 3D. We now regret not seeing it on a big screen. The movie is very entertaining and very engrossing. the 3D effects are impressive without being cheesy. We highly recommend this disk.

If you are a fan of the Harry Potter films, you will love this one. A prequel to the other films, it tells the story of Newt Scamander's adventure in New York when his suitcase of beasts is accidentally switched with one belonging to a "non-mag," the american term for "muggle." Great family movie.

Very beautiful creatures of the wizarding world. Great story with a beautiful love story between the four leading roles of this film. Gave us a better look into the wizarding community and how they actually see these fantastic beasts. If you lived the Harry potter films you will love this one too.

I can honestly say I liked the Harry Potter movies, so I decided to give this a shot. It was a good movie. Nice to see the Wizarding World if a different setting and place. It had a darker tone from the beginning which I liked. The story wasn't confusing at all. The only thing I didn't like was the big reveal. However, I didn't read the book so I don't know if it was like that as well. Looking forward to the next movie.

I am a major fan of the Harry Potter series and as long as you can separate this movie from the others you will love it too. It has the action and effects of the later movies in the HP series but you have to keep in mind it takes place in a different era and country! It is great in its own space!

Wizards come to New York City in an interesting story about a wizard who comes to the US to help some magical creatures, but things go awry, as another of his creatures escapes and others fight against any magic. Eddie Redmayne does an excellent job as the wizard, with good supporting cast.

Just Okay, Effects and Ezra Miller good, The rest leaves much to be desired. Admittedly not a Redmayne fan.

I enjoyed this flick. Not as good as the Harry Potter series in general, but it had some great visuals and some exciting moments. Eddie Redmayne is a fine actor and he elevates what could have been silly, into something that, at times, reaches magical. I can imagine a sequel coming soon. Def recommended for those who enjoyed the Harry Potter series, however, I do not think it will achieve that level of success.

Excellent first movie in the new series. Continuing a story from the beginning. Introducing new creatures and characters within the unseen magical world. At times it can be a bit goofy and childish for my taste. Yet, I think this helps us understand the character of Newt. Being he is locked into his own world of ease with the association to creatures and his anxiety with humans.

Great movie that is more or less a prequel to the Harry Potter series. It looks as though it is setting up a whole other series with a new cast and villian. Not sure I am going to like Depp as the villian but we will see. Not sure if this going to be a series or a one time movie. Hope a series.

4.5 stars if I could. I had different expectations about this movie. I expected it to be more about the book vs. the actual plot. All I can say without giving it away. Great casting though the US magic politicians could have been better. This is a dark movie visually so be prepared. I enjoyed the references to the HP characters. But overall a fun exciting movie. You will be rooting for the baker the whole time!

This combo pack includes the dvd, blu ray, and digital version of the film making it a great value. It is nice to have all three versions so we can use it in the home blu ray player, the car dvd player, or use the digital version anywhere at all. Fun movie to watch. Great start to the series.

Well acted, great script and storyline that aligns with the Harry Potter series, but without Harry. Nice background/backdrop to the whole "magic" of Potter and his universe. Well done addition to the HP universe; well written and acted which makes this a winner after HP series has concluded.

I really enjoyed this movie. The movie started a little slow due to the introduction of each character and setting up the world the movie is set up in. Once the movie got going, I found it very interesting and the time flew by. Overall, I was hoping for something a little better. I'm hoping now that the world is established, the sequels will be better. The quality of the 4K HDR version of the movie is stunning.

The Fantastic Beast movie was very good. I hope they make another Harry Potter movie but with Harry Potter himself in the movie. That would be so awesome and so cool if Harry Potter Hermione and won won where in the movie.

This was a great movie. You will go through all the emotions watching it, and I even cried at one point. My two boys, 6 and 4 watched and it they were not interested that much. Sure it has magic in it but it was more suited for adults that loved Harry Potter. Great acting and very well done.

If you like Harry Potter you will love this movie for the whole family. I saw it first on HBO and just had to buy it. My wife and I love it and have watched it several times. It's in the Harry Potter magical world but in New York City. I definately recommend this movie for everyone

I don't have a 4K disc player yet, but buy the 4K versions with digital copy anyway. If you redeem on Vudu you'll get access to stream the 4K, so no disc player is necessary. You do need a 4K tv (obviously) and either a tv app or a Roku (or similar) capable of playing 4K with the Vudu app.

This was a good movie to watch, though I will say that there was some screen crush in the dark parts of the film, along with some soft scenes within the transfer, it still doesn't take away from this being a great introduction into a new chapter of the harry potterverse

I don't go to theaters for movies, but I went for this one. As a Harry Potter fan (both books and movies), I felt this film was something I should see, and I found it a particularly happy romp. Just the sort of break from reality that's needed, while still reminding us, gently, of reality.
