Last Movie I saw in a Movie Theater, Multiple Times! Those were the Days! I'm Looking Forward to FF9 this Summer! Finally a Block Buster worth Venturing Back to AMC for! Can't Wait! But Till Then, Hobbs & Shaw is Worth Watching Again and Again! P.s. I don't even have a dedicated 4K player yet BUT why would you NOT buy the 4K edition for a few dollars more when you GET the Blu-ray Edition too!

"Hobbs & Shaw" was great fun to watch. Lawman Luke Hobbs (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) and outcast Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) form an unlikely alliance when a cyber-genetically enhanced villain threatens the future of humanity. The laughs, action, chemistry, and set pieces are all there, along with two great cameos. Idris Elba as the evil Brixton was good too. If you want mindless mayhem, "Hobbs & Shaw" delivers. Don't miss it.

It is a fine addition to the Fast and Furious movie franchise. It is filled with the speed and action that is expected from the franchise. The humor goes a bit overboard at times and is a bit annoying at times. The rivalry and relationship established in F8 is developed and expanded. The bonus features are nice and provide insight into the making to the movie.

The Rock aka Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham are the new sidekicks . They both return too this spin-off of The Fast and Furious Franchise as Hobbs and Shaw. The you introduce the Amazing Idris Elba as Brixton a cybernetically enhanced super soldier villain.We are also introduced to Hobbs Samoan family and Hattie Shaw sister too Deckard Shaw (Statham). Kevin Hart and Ryan Deadpool Reynolds also make cameos.

Listen, if you aren't already into the Fast franchise, then you're likely not the person looking at this review. There is a certain formula that these movies follow that either entertains or it doesn't. The Rock and Statham bring a comedic buddy-cop anti-hero element to the franchise that is fun and enthralling. This film also edges into to sci-fi territory, which is insane, but super fun to watch.

Not a bad movie, but not a good one though either. Not much of a storyline, but it fits well with the rest of the film series. 4K audio and video are very nice and worth the upgrade.

I'd give it a "meh". If you're at all familiar with the Fast and Furious franchise, then this film will feel comfortably stacked in the library with them. For me, it's a money grab cashing in on the F&F label, a ridiculous half-thought story wrapped in the adrenaline fuel with the hopes of sideswiping any rational thinking. The odd couple trope played overtly maxed, the two main characters march through the story trying to out punch one another (literally), bickering like two crotchety old ladies in a story being pushed further and further off the map. A sci-fi villain super soldier who, despite all his tech advancements, cannot get a nick on these two; a biological weapon that forgets its own timeclock (supposedly kills in a short time, yet they have enough hours to tromp across several countries, coordinate vehicles/air travel, set up complex ambushes, ect.), a shoehorned family drama duet (Hobbs with his brothers, Shaw with his sister), and the teasing of a romance flatter than the paper the script was printed on. The cast has absolutely no chemistry, dialogue and interactions feeling so forced it could file assault charges. If you like absurd explosions, testosterone-fueled punch fests delivered with hackney one-liners, and chase scenes that throw the very thought of plausibility out the window, then leave your brain in sleep mode and enjoy this smorgasbord of pretty boom booms and fist punches, which in the end I guess that's this film's target. It's fun for the spectacle, but don't expect much beyond that.

The movie is definitely entertaining but could have ended about 35 minutes sooner than it did. The actual ending lacked substance, seeming as if they just wanted to wrap things up.

I was really excited for this movie but kinda dragged and took forever to get where it needed to go by all means not a bad movie but can’t say I’m rushing to watch it again either

If you liked the Fast & Furious movie series the you’re going to love this Hobbs and Shaw movie. It is fast paced with non-stop action and humor. This one gets into the character and background of the two titular characters. This is definitely not to be missed if you’re a F & F movie fan or just a pure action fan as well.

The movie was good! And I was ready to not like it! Lol. 15 minutes in I'm like "woah! This is fun and better than I was expecting already! Let me strap in for the ride!" And a ride it was. The bickering banter between the two main characters wasn't as annoying as I was fearing and it's definitely necessary along the scheme of the franchise for fleshing out characters who deserved it but it otherwise wouldn't have made sense to do. And most of all it keeps the same tone and themes/values of the franchise.

Went to Best Buy store to purchase a DVD as advertised in online flyer ad. In stock at sale price. When I purchase DVD's, I usually get DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital, for my self and family members to watch. Not into 4K as of now. Did notice my last time in store that DVD's in general have diminished from the store. I guess stores want everyone to purchase on-line now. I still am a store buyer!

Idris Elba was a phenomenal villain, lots of great action sequences, good chemistry between Statham and Johnson. Kirby really surprised me as an action hero because I only know her from The Crown. She was EXCELLENT. One of the few films with a big cast of Hollywood heavy weights that didn't feel overly corny trying to shoehorn everyone in. Solid flick.

This was a good action film with a lot of what you would expect from this franchise. Not sure how it will tie in to the regular F&F movies, but it is worth the purchase.

This movie previews showed all action. When my family watched it was disappointed due to the lack of action. There was entirely too much talking. My wife feel asleep.

I have watched and have all the Fast & Furious dvds. Yes I am an older female, but love action movies. I really enjoy both the Hobbs and Shaw characters when they were first introduced. Besides both of these guys are favorites of mine. I have several of each of their dvds. This movie was really fun to watch. I liked all of Hobbs' family members characters.

This is such a great action movie considering The Rock is still going at it decades later! The video quality and audio quality in this 4K release are too notch. Such a fun action story with amazing fight scenes! I would highly recommend this addition to your collection or for any movie lover. This really shook the house in my home theater room and it can yours!

I just got done watching all the Fast and Furious movies. It was an ultimate rush! Each movie along the way gets better and better. I think the best was Furious 7 with Fate of the Furious coming in a close second. Hobbs and Shaw still maintains the Fast and Furious frenzy high octane action. It is hilarious and Hobbs and Shaw are a good team.

Really enjoyed this move but no connection to Fast and Furious other then characters themselves (Hobbs and Shaw).. Big fan of Dwayne Johnson since wrestling days and great action actor and always like Jason Statham. The interaction that both actors have has always been hilarious. Idris Elba is also great as well and fan of him.
