I was skeptical when I bought this movie. I was worried it would be a "teeny bopper" movie. But I was pleasantly surprised. The main characters may be teenagers, but the movie will touch more than just that age group. It had my gf, who is 35 years old, and I in tears. A very touching story. Definitely worth watching if you like these kinds of movies.

Me and my wife watched this movie together the other night and we really enjoyed it. It was very sad but is definitely something that should watched by anyone who has ever been in love

Falling in love and being with someone is hard in this day and time but terminally sick with cancer well that is what this movie is about true love try watch it without crying

This movie is incredibly well done and does the book justice. The actors are perfect for the role and they succeed in tugging on your heart strings. A great movie for all.

Great concept --- barely tolerable execution. Entirely believable boy toy Elgort/Gus deserved a credible love interest --- and --- dialogue to match. The always superlative Willem Dafoe is inexplicably monotone, monochrome and utterly wasted. Laura Dern adds nothing --- as does her on screen husband, whatshisname. Interestingly --- lesser supporting roles are well cast and performed. Viewers who barely survived Old Yeller, Hachi, Bambi or Marley --- will walk away heads up and dry eyed --- finding fault in these stars and writers. See this one to understand how a great concept can be lost in poor casting and writing.
