    Better Than I Expected

I recently brought 90 of these CDs (3 pkgs.) to lightscribe and burn data to and was pleasantly surprised that every single CD turned out perfectly, with a LG External Super Multi Lightscribe Burner. I used full cover images with the lightscribe and every detail looked great. When it came to burning the data, every one came out perfectly, not a single coaster. I will definately purchase these CDs again the next time I have a large project to do.

Half of the discs would not play

I bought this product originally just to simply label discs so I new what was on each disc. I put music on 12 of these CD's along with putting on a label. Upon completion the CD's would not play in a regular CD player, which really defeats the purpose!

I had no issues with using this product. I just use it for copying music off of my computer so I can listen in my car.

Memorex is not a reliable brand

Usually I do not purchase Memorex media because I have had too many issues with their disks in the past. I ran out of the Verbatim disks I normally use and Best Buy had the Memorex LS disks on sale so I picked up a pack. Big mistake. Already have had 4 out of 14 fail to burn. That is almost a 30% failure rate.

Lightscribe discs are difficult to find, and these fill the bill very well.

    Unreliable Disks

I bought these some time back and just recently used up the last one. When they work, I haven't had any problem with playback and the Lightscribe labelling has been really nice. About 40-50% of the disks gave an error and would not burn, though (some would not burn data, others would not burn a label). I thought it might be my drive, but after getting a different brand of disks, I haven't had any problems, and I see that some other reviews indicate similar issues. I bought these disks, because they were on sale for a great price. Seems like it was a case of get-what-you-pay-for.

I thought my computer was getting a little old -- it turns out that MORE THAN HALF of the disks will not burn lightscribe! Some work, and some give me errors saying it doesn't recognize it as a lightscribe disk. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM MEMOREX for lightscribe disks. I've contacted memorex about this problem and they recognized this was a known issue and sent out some newer cds to me. Half of them still don't work. Just don't even bother -- Memorex with LightScribe is just horrible.

    New at burning CD's

Before I read the previous reviews, I thought I was doing something wrong since I am very new at burning CD's. Now I know it was the CD itself. I bought a 25 spindle to try them out, and only have done 5 CD's that came out right. Some wouldn't burn the disc, others wouldn't burn the label and kept saying error or something of that sorts. I will try another brand from now on. Oh, yeah, btw, I haven't been able to use the DVD ones because haven't come across one that will burn yet!!!

Be careful of Memorex blank media

This is the second batch of blank Memorex CD media I've purchased this year which the drives on my computer (both new) don't recognize the discs. This happened with the black audio discs and the Lightscribe CD's. Other media works in those drives perfectly.
