Ok first I just want to say I have been a big fan of Fifine from a couple years. I was just starting out on a tight budget to stream and Fifine fit the bill for me And every time I buy a product it seems they get better and better. This Mic here the AM8 is really 2 mics in one, It has usb and xlr. So you can start with a usb mic and work your way up later to the xlr and have more control over your sound with a xlr mixer later on if you want. Or if your like me and on the go I just bring a usb c cable and can connect this mic to my laptop with no issues and when I get back to my main setup I just plug it back into my xlr Hub and again ready to go. Led light on base is bight but not too bright, if you like the rgb. its a clean look and not over the top.
The Y shape yoke makes it easy for the cables to move freely. It is very light weight, If you have a boom are that needs a lot of weight then you mite need a new boom are, lol Not a big this but just want to let other know about that.
The only con I see is the mic pop filter is a square shape and as of writing this there are no replacements.
Other then that a verry clean natural sounding mic, not to high and not too low. I believe it sound as good if not better then my rode pod mic gen 1.
The only other thing I can see is a con and I dont know if its a bestbuy thing but thr only color is black on bestbuy's website as of writing this. I would of liked to seen a white one. Other then that I see no issues and my other Fifine products have held up over the last 2 years

RGB Lights - It has all the colors like red, blue, purple, yellow, and green. It’s nice around the microphone and has different variations that it displays. You can also turn it off by holding down the light button which is what I do.
Sound Quality - Although it’s a dynamic microphone, it’s not the best dynamic microphone out there. It’s still relatively captures noises around me that isn’t direct at the microphone but you can change all that through processing the microphone through applications. The microphone is extremely sensitive if you’re just using the wires and you never want to raise the gain above half. It detects quite literally everything and pretty loudly, background noises can be heard through the microphone. Other than that, doesn’t sound too bad, just be wary of the gain and sensitivity of the microphone.
Ease of Use - Most simple microphone ever. Get the stand, put the microphone on, and set the wires. You’re done. If you want to put it on a boom arm; you can do that too.

For its price, the FIFINE AM8 is a solid choice for beginners and budget-conscious creators who want a versatile mic without breaking the bank. While it lacks some advanced software features, its sound quality, build, and dual connectivity make it a great value.
Pros:
- Dual Connectivity – The ability to switch between XLR and USB is a major plus. USB is plug-and-play, while XLR allows for more professional setups.
- Solid Build Quality – The mic has a sturdy metal construction, giving it a premium feel.
- Good Sound Quality – It captures clear, warm vocals with decent noise rejection thanks to its cardioid pattern.
- RGB Lighting – A cool touch for those who enjoy customizable aesthetics.
- Convenient Controls – Features like a built-in mute button and gain control make adjustments easy.

I was looking for a mic for live streaming and podcasts, this mic has the best quality, built in pop filter, RGB lights and amazing sound. I love the slick look to it as well. This has definitely helped me take my content to a new level. If you get this mic you should also consider getting the fifine sc3 audio mixer if you’re looking to use the mic as an xlr, if not it still sounds amazing plugged in USB. If you want a great mic for gaming, streaming or podcasts I promise you’ll love this mic!

AMAZING MICROPHONE.
Easily use connections through XLR and USB.
RGB Lighting is a cool touch, really impressed with the microphone quality. Especially when it's hooked up through my mixer. But if you don't have a mixer, the mic is still usable in USB MODE. 10/10 Would buy again.

An amazing budget mic for those into streaming, gaming and podcast. Crisp audio easy to install, nice minimal LED and the buttons are easy to use. Would recommend when other options are overly expensive. Even better if you have an arm and an XLR.

super easy to set up/adjust, clean design, love the rgb. i've been using my eczema cream as a stand bc its too short, so i will probably need to buy an arm.

The fifine Am8 is a exelect microphone regarding sound quality and it being a USB and XLR microphone. However the build quality is slightly lacking, it's more than good enough however it feels cheap in the hand (youll have it on your desk or a boom arm most of the time so this is a minor nitpick) The only other complaint that I have is that the mute button and light is on the back where you won't see it.

I’ve been really impressed with the FIFINE XLR/USB Dynamic Microphone. The build quality feels solid and premium, and the matte black finish with customizable RGB lighting gives it a sleek, modern look that stands out without being over the top. It fits perfectly on my desk setup and looks great on camera.
Performance-wise, the sound quality is excellent. The cardioid pickup pattern does a great job of isolating my voice while minimizing background noise, which makes it perfect for gaming, streaming, or even recording vocals. I noticed a big difference in clarity compared to standard USB mics I’ve used before—my voice sounds fuller and more natural.
The dual connection (XLR and USB) is a huge plus. I can plug it straight into my PC for simple plug-and-play use, or switch to XLR for higher-end audio setups down the line. The USB connection is super convenient, and it worked right away without needing extra software or drivers.
Overall, this mic hits the sweet spot between quality, style, and versatility. If you’re looking for a microphone that can handle both casual streaming and more serious recording, the FIFINE XLR/USB is a fantastic choice. Definitely worth it!

Decently built good sound quality requires a little tweaking in Windows software if I had to give it one complaint, it’s the stand is a little short. If it came with an adjustable arm or something to make it a little bit taller or closer to the face without requiring the purchase of an additional accessory.
