Even though I like be the books (and the movies) I guess you can say that I was one of those that was expecting a little too much.. the acting was blah!

As the second installment of the 50 Shades trilogy, somewhat better than the first movie. Still nonsense and absurd movie about the BDSM lifestyle, imo.

The elevator scene though.. yeah. This movie is exactly what one would expect. Not great, not bad. You get what you want if this is what you're into.

The gurlfriend bought this one since she already had the first one. Can't stand the books or movies as it screws with the true BDSM lifestyle.

This would have been a great movie if Charlie Hunnam from SOA would have taken the lead. It's still worth watching and has a good story line.

We bought this movie because my wife read the books and we bought the first movie. According to the wife the books are still way way better.

I prefer the first to this one. This seemed to drag on and on and on forever, but, it did explain things that you questioned in the first.

This movie helps to bring the book to life. The ball was wonderful and seeing some 'behind the scene making of' footage was interesting.

If you liked the first film, you'll like this. It is not for kids and the stars are good looking, but it is not exactly a deep film.

I realize it's hard to make a movie from a book that narrated in her head, but I felt the chemistry between the characters was lacking.

Jamie Dornan's performance is better than in the first one. Before ranking the actors to low you need to consider the source material.

I saw it in the theater and it was okay I have read the books and love them. Got the movie so I can do a girls night marathon

Low budget feel to the filming in this movie. Jaime Dorman’s acting skills are pretty pathetic in this movie. Very robotic.

The hype was definitely there for this movie; however, it was not one of my favorites. Too much dirty stuff and not enough material.

Not as good as the first movie, but a necessary build for the final film. Probably better for those who have not read the books.

Disappointed, disappointed, disappointed!!! I loved the book series and enjoyed the first movie. But this movie lacked alot of details from the book. Little things that were important like the dance auction, the emails/texting, Ethan, Dr. Greene even the body guard. The director definitely dropped the ball on this one. If you read the book and haven't seen the movie, don't get your hopes up, you will be disappointed.

Worth renting. Wasn't worth buying. Was really looking forward to this one but wasn't impressed. Maybe next will be better.

Was excited to watch but this movie wasn't as good as the first one 50 shades of gray. Will continue to watch the series tho!

In my opinion this movie was not as good as the first installment. I hope the third installment makes up for this one.
