I've read all the books and was not disappointed with the movie. The "unrated," alternate" ending is just a marketing ploy, though. The differences are insignificant.

This movie was very good I thought jamie doran was awesome in it the only thing that was disappointing was that they cut out a lot of scenes in the book which kinda of made the story not as good as the book but if i hadnt read the book the movie would have been awesome .

This movie was not what I expected. It was not great, but it was not bad either. I'm kind of torn. It doesn't quite meet the quality and depth of the book for sure.

Are there any bad reviews on this movie?!?!?!? Special features make it an even better film and buy. I was bummed at first, it wouldnt play in my old DVD player. But after I borrowed one I was so stoked!! Also amazing for the fact that Best Buy puts new releases on sale!!!

I had heard this movie was dirty and very nasty. It is NOT. I do NOT agree with this guys sick practices but some people never know love and have pain to replace it.

I'm a big fan of the books and enjoyed the movie almost as much. I only wish it had been longer so those who didn't read the books would have a better understanding.

If you're a collector than this Steelbook is for you! Great image on the front with a matte finish to boot. No embossing or debossing but still worth the investment.

the movie kind of dragged but then the stars of the movie aren't really "stars" yet. the blue ray quality of the movie is good and the price was a good purchase.

This movie is a great movie It has shortened a lot of the material from the books but it is on the same concept great picture quality. Really enjoyable movie. I have heard that people have said it had a lot of nudity. Personally I feel it wasn't anymore than other movies.

great cast and director, not familiar with the books, story seems to keep the audience to see what happens next, maybe the sequel will be better then the first one.

If you read the book, then you might not think the movie matched up all that well. Well, I did read the book and still loved the movie! Well worth the money spent.

Definitely not everyone's favorite, but it is well acted, fairly true to the book, and the alternate ending helps it out from the way the theatrical version ended.

This movie was okay. Made the misses happy I bought her a copy - win win there. The ladies seem to like this movie. Be a caring man and watch it with her. Enjoy!

This is a 3 part movie and this is a great romance based on the book. I admit that I never read the books but this is a great romantic movie. Make sure to watch Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed after you see this though, or you will end up totally confused.

Great movie to finish off my collection of fifty shades movie. I bought this for my wife for Christmas as it was the only movie in the series that she was missing. Excellent 4k transfer

I really enjoyed this movie! I didn't know how they were going to make this movie and have only an R rating but they managed it and they did a good job doing it.

I took the lady to the movies to see this movie as pretty much every female on planet Earth was overly hyped and excited to see it. Surprisingly it was a decent movie. I never read or intend to read the books but this movie is not as bad as I thought and is worth viewing for some visual pleasure. I made this purchase for my girlfriend as this is a must have for her collection. Good ending to the movie to keep you wondering what will happen in continuing the story in the 2nd film.

I really had no interest in this movie but I took someone to see it in theaters and I didn't think it was bad. Storyline was good, but acting was a little flat.

My wife was a fan of the book. I bought this for her as a Mother's Day gift and she was super excited. I personally don't care for it but happy wife happy life.
