In order to appreciate film you need to read the book first.

Not too bad of a movie, the book is way better as always.

Let's face it. The author can't write. I only read the 12 pages from the "Look Inside" feature on Amazon, and that was enough to wonder why the publisher didn't hire a ghost. Still, even though I didn't see this in the theater, because of all the hype, I thought there might be a good story. This film has no character arc. Nothing happens at 10 minutes into the movie to throw a "wrench" into the works. There is no real story. The audience has to wait almost an hour and a half before our main character actually gets into the Play Room, and that's pretty much a letdown for anyone expecting any real S & M. Up until then, it's one boring thing after another. This does not qualify as a good love story. Her clothes are quite pretty, though. Very tasteful.

Movie is just OK. If you've seen it once, once is enough.
