The original Advent Children had poor pacing and editing; it was a film that was made for fans of the game and newcomers would be lost with the characters and the plot. With 26 new minutes added in, the film is slightly improved in terms of giving more screen time for Cloud, Zack, and Denzel. However, a lot of characters like the returning party members aren't given much to do still. Cloud's turning point to change does have enough justification. The villains are also still very one dimensional and not very interesting. Blu-Ray transfer wise. The transfer is only okay. nothing mindblowing. Overall, if you liked the film then you'll probably like the additional content. Otherwise, your mind won't be changed.

As a person who also owns the dvd and blu-ray complete edition of this movie, there is very little that this release offers, other than a digital copy for on the go.

The 4k transfer is really disappointing! The new ff7 remake looks better than this movie. I know it's old but the 4k really didn't do much for the cg.

While the quality of the actual movie and the extra features is top notch, the Blu-ray did not actually include a digital copy of the movie as advertised online.

Movie was definitely strange, I was not impressed with the visuals but maybe because the film is so old. I'm a huge FF7 fan though.

Buyer Beware: The copies I saw of this movie inside the Best Buy I went to did not have a slipcover indicating that this is a Blu-Ray+DigitalHD nor did they have a sticker on the shrinkwrap displaying Includes Digital UltraViolet. Without these indicators, it means that the movie DOES NOT contain a Digital UltraViolet voucher. So, if you are hoping to get a Digital UltraViolet or even an iTunes Digital Copy of this movie free, make sure you check to see if that Includes Digital UltraViolet sticker is on the shrinkwrap or not. Because I never opened this in light of seeing that I'd be paying for just a single Blu-Ray disc without the Digital UltraViolet voucher, I exchanged this for Superbad (Unrated) Blu-Ray+DigitalHD UltraViolet. If you order this on the website, you cannot tell if you will actually get the Blu-Ray+DigitalHD version of this movie because all I have seen so far are Blu-Rays of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete without the Includes Digital UltraViolet sticker and without the Blu-Ray+DigitalHD slipcover. Buy at your own risk.

Everyrhing happens way too fast. You can't take the story of a 40+ hour RPG and expect a good sequel in a two hour film. It is beautiful to look at though, and the music is great.

I love this movie and enjoy the story. It it's geared towards an informed audience of final fantasy seven but even without knowing the back story it is an enjoyable movie.

While the cgi work is fantastic the story itself falls flat. I think only die hard FFVII fans will really love it. Worth a watch. Blu ray looks great too.
