Ryan Gosling gave one of the most riveting performances of his life and he simply disappeared into his role and became Neil Armstrong. Actually the whole cast did that. I felt like I was actually there when the event took place and I was amazed at the memories it brought back. I am about to be 72 years old and I remember this as if it were yesterday. I will never forget actually watching this take place on tv and it took my breath away! However, I didn't know the back story of Neil and his family and it really made me admire the man even more than I already do. I also enjoyed the way the movie went back to the beginning of our space program and made me so proud of our nation and reminded me of how JFK was able to inspire and lead us to great heights. Buy this movie, or at least rent it if you didn't see it at the theater. You won't be sorry!
