I thought there would be more in the movie about getting to the man from a technical perspective. This movie is more about neil Armstrong the man and his relationships.

I enjoyed this movie, however it was a little dry. If your looking for any action there wasn't much as it is about the man, played but a solid actor, Ryan Gosling.

My wife and I have been on a "space" kick lately. We hadn't seen this movie but have heard good things. VERY good movie and excellent story. Really shows what Neil Armstrong went through mentally with a lot of life issues and what its like to become and astronaut. Depicts a lot of what the family of an astronaut goes through as well. First Man is one supposed to be one of the most realistic movies about space travel ever made. And, it sure didn't disappoint. Movie looked and sounded great on my 4K TV and Klipsch surround.

    Beautiful Movie in Stunning 4K

The is a fantastic movie with a great cast and a very well told story of the struggles, mistakes, failures of the early Apollo space program. I've heard some argue Ryan Gosling didn't talk enough, but I think the overall economy of dialogue works well with the visuals throughout the movie. You don't need to constant dialogue to which we've all become accustomed. I loved it so much, I upgraded from my Blu-Ray HD copy to 4K. The visuals are excellent, and the moon landing scene is jaw-dropping.

Its a pretty good movie. I'm not huge into space themed films but its worth a watch. A purchase? Maybe not. There's not much replay ability IMO.

We actually never watched it all the way through. Boring, not a whole lot different than all the others that were made about the same subject.

Well I was really excited to watch this on my new 4K player, but in all honesty was not overly impressed, sound or video but a good story.

Interesting Look at a Historical Event

Interesting to see the full scope of Neil Armstrong's life and his dedication as well as life struggles. Also the director filmed many of the scenes to insure the audience can experience what it must have felt like to be in his shoes. The film depicts Armstrong as a real human with some of the flaws, which some people have apparently taken offense to. If you need Armstrong to somehow be "deified" then don't watch this film. If you want to see what is probably a more realistic portrayal, then do!

The movie is average. The first half is very slow but the second half is much better. No comparison to the likes of The Right Stuff

Glad I didn't see it in a movie theatre & pay full price. It was a little interesting though. Nothing wrong with the DVD.

This movie moves very fast and I feel like it leaves some things out. It is good if you are interested in Neil Armstrong.

With such an amazing point in history, this movie could have been an epic. It was a wasted opportunity. This could have been an amazing historical event movie but they made it into a joyless drama. Ryan Gosling had no charisma and was not entertaining to watch. The movie was dour in mood instead of it being a celebration of human accomplishment. Would rather watch Apollo 13 or The Right Stuff.

It was ok. The movie makes Neil Armstrong appear antisocial and Buzz Aldren appear as a real butt hole to put it nicely

I recently purchased a New Samsung Q90T 65" (2020) Q-LED TV and matching Q950T Samsung Soundbar and 4K UHD Blu-ray Player and wanted to purchase a few really good 4K UHD Movies to show off the picture and ATMOS surround audio. This DVD does not disappoint. Great movie with plenty of action scenes with very good Surround sound. And I got it on sale! Better than going to the Movies, especially now since COVID-19.

I really enjoyed this movie, the story and character development is fantastic! I didn't really understand what all was involved in the landing on the moon and it was fascinating to learn more about it. A lot of film grain as it was shot on 16mm and 35mm. It's actually the highest level of grain I have seen in any 4k movie. Audio quality on this one is fantastic. This one will give your subwoofer a workout!
