My wife is having fun with this new fitbit. It is smaller and sleeker than the larger style. Though it doesn't record heart rate, it does everything she wanted it to. Records sleep and steps and reminds her to move every hour. She also had different bands to dress up.

I bought the Fitbit-Alta Gold Series Activity Tracker for my sister's Christmas present. She loves it, especially the tracking of steps, and the notification of text messages and phone calls. Only drawback is the difficulty in securing the Fitbit band on the wrist.

Great tracker. Tracks sleep/steps/exercise. Wish it tracked stairs. The notifications sometimes appear on device when wrist is flicked. Sometimes have to tap screen multiple times to display contents. Bands seem to break easily, but customer service is phenomenal.

This is a great product. I love seeing my steps and distance walked each day.

I also have the original fitbit and it still works. The Alta is better because it gives you information on the read-out area. I don't always have to check my phone for my steps. I love it gives you the time, your steps, miles everything except the heart rate.

I liked the sleep tracking features. I like that all controls are done via the app, and I like being able to "compete" with my friends. I like that unlike the HR Charge device the alta is much thinner. And if I want to I can have a watch on the same wrist also.

I like this fitness tracker. I have the Fitbit HR as well as the Zip. It seems to be very accurate. I like the feature of it reminding me when I haven't completed 250 steps in an hr. My wife also has one and she loves her. Fitbit customer is excellent by the way.

I was hesitant to get a Fitbit because I loved my Jawbone tracker. But after 2, I decided to give it a shot. It's easy to use & I love it. I feel like it's accurate. My only issue is that occasionally the band makes my wrist itch, but I haven't tried another.

Good product, but in my option, all fitness type watches should waterproof.

The Fitbit Alta is packed full of technology but it is small, light and elegant on your wrist. I'm impressed with the amount of battery life the device has as I can go the better part of two weeks before it needs charging. I highly recommend this proudct.

I´ve been a fan of Fitbit for over 18 months. My Alta replaced a Fitbit Charge. What I really apreciate of this product is the information contained in the App, the weekly statistics. The design is sleek, the battery lasts up to 5 days. I highly recommend it

I read many reviews on many sites before settling on buying a Fitbit Alta. I did not want something large and clunky, but I wanted something more than just 4 flashing lights (Flex). I didn't care much about heart rate and the wrist is very inaccurate for heart rate so I didn't feel it was worth the money. The alta met all of my needs plus allowed me to use it as a watch when needed. I would caution that constant updates between the Alta and the fitbit app on your smartphone will kill your battery. Also, pay close attention to the size of the band. I don't consider myself to have a large man's wrist but I bought the large band and it allowed me a little movement. Anything less would not have fit.

My daughter has the flex which she likes so I bought the ALTA. I love it. The charge lasts 5 days, the reminders hourly to walk are nice. I love that I can preview my text messages and know who's calling. Definitely will give as a gift this in the future.

Simple, good battery life, does anything you’d want in a fitness watch

Trendy, slim and love that it tracks sleep pattern, miles, calories and can alert to move. I bihira one for sister and it's fun that you can add friends and do a challenge with various options. I can say we love this... Very functional and easy to set up.

I like the slimmer option with full read out, but water proof would be great! Fits the wrist well and is comfortable to wear. Also, the tap and double tap sensor should be more sensitive to the tapping. You often have to thump it quite hard to register.

fits well ...easy to read ..I had to get used to the idea of something on my wrist telling me to get moving!.....it's also fairly accurate when it follows my 'sleep'.....I'll learn more about that.....over all very pleased with my fitbit!!

I have learned so much from myself with Fitbit, specially how I sleep at night.

I bought this as a replacement and I really like the battery life.
