I love the slim style and that I can change the color of my band as I please. One downfall is that the Alta does not count flights of stairs taken. However, it is a big step up from the Fitbit Flex!

I use my Fitbit Alta throughout the day to track my activity. One of the best features is that it reminds me when I have to get and move. It also vibrates and congratulates me when I reach my goal.

I am obsessed with my Alta Fitbit. It makes me WANT to get up and move. I chose the Alta because of its sleek, small style, but I do wish it monitored my heart rate (hence 4 stars instead of 5).

Slim design, better clasp, overall better! As Fitbits evolve they are getting better and easier to use. Clear face and easy sync to app or computer using provided dongle. Overall great product.

Previously I had a Fitbit Flex device and recently replaced it with the new Fitbit Ulta. I really like the sleek design and options such as the clock, actual steps taken, active minutes, battery monitor, distance, call, text alerts and calendar reminders. All of these are controlled through the Fitbit dashboard and can be fully customized to your liking. The display isn't always easy to read when in bright sunlight but it hasn't been too big of an issue. The reason I didn't rate it five stars is due to the display easily scratching. A different material would boost this to a 5 star rating for me maybe something like the Gorilla Glass used in cell phones would be a great addition.

I purchased this for my mom so that she could begin to set goals for her steps and exercise. It seems to be very accurate and it was easy to set up and pair with her app.

Fitbit is awesome when it comes to fitness trackers. I really like the streamlined design of this, not bulky and it's a very attractive band! Wish it had HR but not a deal breaker for me!

This is my first Fitbit. Love the look. It keeps track of everything that I need - steps, distance and activity time. The reminders to move are great. Long lasting battery! Best purchase ever.

I love the sleek design of this Fitbit. Also, I like that I can change the bands to match what I'm wearing. I like being able to see at a glance how many steps I've taken. Great product!

Bought one for my girlfriend so she wouldn't have to rely on her phone to track her steps for the day and so that she could also track her sleeping habits. She absolutely loves it

The Alta provides a reminder to get up and move. It helps you monitor your sleep and to view who is trying to get in touch with you. Tracking my steps really helps with my motivation too.

It does more than my FitBit Flex did. I like that it shows the time and notifies me about calls and messages as well as showing me my steps. The reminders to get moving are good, too!

Since this was my first time purchasing an activity tracking wristband I originally bought the fitbit flex. It ended up being too basic (lacks a screen) so I returned the Flex and purchase the Alta and I'm so glad that I did. The Alta has the perfect amount of bell and whistles without going overboard on the amount of functionality. It's easy to setup and link to your phone and very simple to use. I love being able to check my progress of steps, distance and calories burned throughout the day by simply tapping my wristband. They also have a ton of band options that you can purchase separately if you'd prefer something other than the plain black band. Love it!

i will spare you the techy stuff and keep it real simple for you. Does it work and function how it should? Yup sure does. You control all the settings off your phone or with the PC. I have it setup on my andriod. You can customize what displays on the screen as far as steps, tim, miles, workout time, and calories burned. First time getting something like this as i always used my phone but this is more accurate for step counting if that's what your going to be doing. I Battery life is great on a full charge it lasted me 4 days. ts nothing fancy like the larger ones and its perfect for someone who just wants to keep track of steps.

As a first time user we brought it back to Best Buy to have them assist us with syncing it with his new Kindle HD 8. He is using it daily to track his calories, steps and sleep.

I love the Alta! It is nice and petite. It provides all the information you need with a narrow band and small screen, and you can set it to send text and calendar notifications that you can actually read, well you can read a portion of it anyway, and only if it is one text, multiple texts will just show how many new messages you have, you cannot read the body of the text. That would be my only con. I would like to be able to read the first few words of the last text message I received so I can see if it needs to be responded right away or if it can wait. It easily syncs to your phone and the website is very user friendly! Totally worth the price!

Easy to program,easy to read. Has many helpful programs built in. Once you are set up, checking your progress is easy. I only have one problem and that's getting it clasp on my arm.

Very accurate, and even better motivation! The digital display movement reminders, is like having a personal trainer attached to your wrist! Lol... I highly recommend it!

The FirBit Alta is a sleek, stylish tracker, that integrates will with your mobile devices and FitBit's online service. The Alta tracks steps and sleep automatically. It can also auto-sense activity, though to get additional information (GPS map, distance, etc.) you should initiate activity tracking in your mobile device. It also contains a feature that nags you to get up and move at least 250 steps in every hour during a time period you set. A nice touch is that the Alta has multiple display settings that support showing information of interest in either vertical or horizontal orientations. Additionally, it can show notifications (phone, text, etc.) which I thought might be distracting but has actually quite nice. To be honest, I've taken to wearing this as a replacement for a watch without the complexity/expense of a Smart Watch. This one's a real winner if you ask me. The only down side, the screen seems to scratch/scuff easily so invest in a screen protector before you that the Alta out of the box.

This is my 3rd Fitbit and it is the best one to date. The size is much better and the options make it very user friendly. The only complaint I STILL have is the 5 day battery life.
