This tracking device was a gift. I have the earlier version and this version seems to work as well or better. The gift receipient had a basic FitBit and had used it for several years and it no longer charged. The advantages of this newer Alta with the new band, the reminders, the wake up alerts, and other connectivity are great. The biggest caution that I would remind any buyer is that the more you connect to alert for things such as text, phone calls, email, the less battery life you get, so plan on charging more frequently

Great basic tracker for counting steps and monitoring sleep patterns. Slim and attractive design. The ability to change straps a plus.

This is one of the best accurate trackers out there. I also like how user friendly it is to use and how easy it is to pair with my phone.

I was looking at a fitbit tracker. I wasn't sure which one to get. The salesperson helped me decide between two I was looking at. I'm very happy w/the Alta. It has a superior battery life to the other one I considered. It is performing well. I like the flexibility of being able to change bands, and it does what it's supposed to do, easily. It has easy to read info on the display. It seems to be a bit larger of a display, although the band is narrower, and I like that as well. I'm very pleased. It's comfortable and I wear it all the time.

I love my Fitbit Alta! It tracks my sleep pattern, monitor my heart rate and track my daily steps. A great recipe to help with your fitness.

This was step up from a Zip. Really like it so far. Keeps me motivated and walking. Would recommend as a good stater tracker. Biggest problem is the strap which is a pain too close. But it tracks well in a pocket also.

I love this Fitbit, it's easy and fun ! I really enjoy the watch part along with all the other amazing things it does. The watch will appear when you rotate your hand ! You don't even have to tap it ! It cleans easy and I am very hard on my phone and a lot of other things electronic . With saying that his watch is very durable and I even wear it while I washing dishes and cleaning and it's fine ! It's my new favorite toy !

Not bulky and I like the reminders to get up and walk. Sometimes I have to tap it a couple of times for the display, but it is not annoying.

Very happy with the Alta. It's a slim design, but you are able to check your steps with a glance.

I really like my fitbit alta. The features are great and battery life is about 5-7 days. Very accurate and I love the slim design.

I received the Fitbit for my birthday as I've been wanting to work on my fitness and overall health. I was surprised by how quickly I got used to wearing it all the time and keeping track of my steps and calories became like second nature. I haven't used any of the other models so I can't compare, but personally I love this one. I was originally considering another model that keeps track of your heart rate and I may "upgrade" at some point if I become more active than I am now. For now I think this is a great beginners tool.

This is my first fitness tracker purchase. I read reviews before purchasing and my friends have the Alta as well. I really like that you can compete with friends on steps each day. The sleep analysis is an eye opener as to how may times a night you are restless and moving. I recommend getting the 2 year insurance for $29.99 from Best Buy that will replace the Fit Bit if you damage it by water or hitting it on something.

I love my Alta fitbit it is stylish so it blends with everything I wear. I mainly got this so that I could see how much sleep I get.

The Alta fitbit does all I want. It tracks steps, sleep, minutes of consecutive exercise and has a clock on the face. I love it!
