Customers regard the Alta Activity Tracker (Large) favorably for its sleep tracking, ease of use, and comfortable size. Many appreciate the long battery life and stylish design, along with features like step tracking and notifications. However, some users wish for a heart rate monitor and improved water resistance. A few also noted challenges with the clasp mechanism.

Super thin, stylish fitness tracker that has a great battery life. Easily worn with a watch and not too overpowering.

I had a FITBIT Charge HR in which the band was tearing. Unfortunately, the version I had did not have replaceable bands. I bought the Alta to replace it in order to have the flexibility of changing bands when they get old or worn out. The Alta does the job but I am not impressed with the display. Once you go over 999 steps it starts displaying in rounded format (i.e. 2.3 k). The hart rate is not taken which is not a big deal, but stairs climbed are not tracked either.

Love this Fit Bit. I think it is very accurate and I love the "buzz" notifications it gives to "get up and move/walk"

I have had and currently have several other activity trackers including the Garmin VivoFit3. The battery on the Fitbit Alta isn't a year long battery but it does go for a week or so before needing to be charged. I can see the time at night which I could not on the Garmin. The only complaint is the band...the Alta band is terrible in the way it connects together. I bought an aftermarket band that is more like a watchband and it make the Alta more wearer friendly.

I had the Charge and flex before this, and I really liked the charge because it actually looked like a watch. The problem with the Charge was that it was super thick, and surprising broke in half after a year of use. I got the Alta and I like it because it is smaller and more like a bracelet. The problem with it is that it doesn't always turn on when I flick my wrist or tap it.

I love my Alta. I got because the price was good, however I have been without a Fitbit product since 2014. It was time for a new Fitbit. I love that it's a watch as well as keeping track of steps, miles, & calories Burnt. I also love the sleep function as well. The setup is easy on both the computer & cell phone.

After about a year and a half with a Fitbit Charge, and 2 replacements, I ordered the Alta mainly for the slimmer profile & ability to change bands. I didn't always want to wear the Charge when dressing up. The Alta looks much nicer with the new color bands. There are some new features I like, however the Alta does not count flights of stairs. The charger connects better and there is no button to break. I hope this lasts more than a few months, like our Charges did.

I bought the Alta for my wife to replace her old charge. It's worked out great and she's used it all the time. The clasp was a good replacement (she has a minor metal allergy and will get a rash on her wrist) and that hasn't been a problem with this band. The step and calorie tracking has kept her focus on her exercise and food and she has noticed she has been far more active since wearing the band. Very small and light weight and comfortable to wear.
