It worked fine for a few months and then the display started to go all crazy, even tried to reset it and everything. Now it just has this display that I will attach in the photos. I only wear it when I sleep since it does track my sleep and heart rate etc but I have to use the app on my phone to do anything. My wife always had the same issue and hers just went all faded and eventually all black.

Fitbit Is Highly Usable, Very Low Quality

This is my fourth attempt of making Fitbit a part of my overall health tracking. The Fitbit works fine and, at least this time, the screen still works and didn't crack or fail like it has every other time. Unfortunately, the wrist band is nearly in two pieces and the tracker can no longer be used. I've had this experience with iterally every fitbit I have ever owned (four total counting the ones they replaced for me because they were under warranty). I doubt I will ever buy a fitbit again.

Looks like this bricked June 2021 15 months after purchase. I will reach out to fitbit and see what they say. Not the same company after purchased by Google. (

I bought this for a fitness challenge, and I needed something to track my steps so that I could convert it into miles. Not only does this tech toy do that, but it monitors my heart rate, records the time, senses which activity I’m doing, alerts me of any phone calls, messages, or notifications, and more! I do mostly aerobic exercises, so it’s impressive how the watch knows what I’m doing and records my activity without me tinkering with its functions. The app is more detailed and logs your everyday activities. The set-up is easy to follow, but if you want to change or personalize it more in the settings, it can be a little difficult. I haven’t gotten it wet yet, but it still works like new after a good sweat (just make sure to clean or wipe it well). The battery life is also really good! I’ll wear it all day and it’ll still be above 90% before I get home to charge it. This was a great purchase :) It’s durable, comfortable, convenient, and it encourages a healthier lifestyle.

I purchased my Fitbit charge 3 activity tracker and heart rate monitor mainly to keep track of my heart rate but it has turned out to be much more than I bargained for. I'm enjoying the fact that I can track my steps, exercising and sleep patterns among numerous other activities. It's very durable and it can go 6 -7 days on one charge for me. The face of the watch has large enough numbers for me to read without the use of my readers! I highly recommend this Fitbit if you are looking for something basic and practical.

This was my first fitness tracker/semi smart watch. I've since had the Galaxy Active and just ordered the Active 2. So having had a little experience i feel a bit qualified to review this. I found the step counting to be the most accurate of the 2 ( haven't received the Active 2 yet) that I've owned. Heart rate monitor is about the same. They both are waterproof. The fit it was a bit lighter weight, which was good but not a deal breaker. Truth be told they both have problems with tracking sleep accurately, however, I will say that Samsung has been pretty on top of at least attempting to solve the problem. You can't even reach a real person or even an email address to speak to fitbit, they rely on their "community " (other users with problems with their device) to solve them. Samsung has several options available to address issues. The best part of the fit it is the LONGGGG battery life! You can easily get 5-7 days on a single charge. Active, maybe 36 hours. So it's sort of comparing apples to oranges since the Active has more features but for the purposes of a fitness tracker, there may be a slight edge with the Fitbit. If my daughter hadn't lost my charger I may not have gotten a different watch.

This is a 3.8 rating if it was an option. This device is definitely an upgrade from the Charge 2 as far as the larger display, messaging, notifications, and fully waterproof. You can wear it in the shower. As for execution it falls short in some areas. The step counter is a bit inflated compared to the Charge 2. The Bluetooth syncing is quirky. You sometimes have to hook to the charger and restart the device to connect again. Really? I never had to do that once for the Charge 2 in a years time. This is not just myself, the forum for the device also shows other threads with the complaints. We just had a firmware update and hope it gets better with each one, but this device got off to a slow start and has been a little frustrating and disappointing at times. However, it has the potential to be a great device for sleep tracking and heart rate. The sleep tracking has been very good so far. There is also a sensor that they claim will be activated at some point to monitor oxygen levels when sleeping. We'll see if this happens, but first they need to fix the basic quirks. Oh, also something as simple as clock faces has been tough to get the correct type that shows heart rate and steps, along with the date. Come on Fitbit! The last update still doesn't have this clock face.

This is my third tracker with Fitbit. Awesome applications and love the fact that it is waterproof. Only thing is that I got used to Charge 2 having a face that has the time, date, steps as well as HR on one face. The one given here has HR or steps( where you have to tap screen to see them). Also as far as exercises, they don't have the work out option. Forced to chose run, elliptical, weights. Last, the reason this only gets 4 stars is that Fitbit still has issues syncing at times with Phone.

I had an excellent 2 year experience with a Charge 2 and decided recently to upgrade to the Charge 3 Activity Tracker. The band looks trim and sleek yet rugged enough for both work and going out. This tracker has a constant Heart rate monitor and tracks hours of sleep. When synced to a fit bit app on a mobile device you can track a full range of your activity at the gym and throughout the day against goals you've set for yourself. The best things I like though are that you can swim in the ocean with this tracker on and dive up to 50 meters and it still works fine. I also like that the battery charge lasts more than one week. Not bad for the price. Happy with it thus far.

I got the Charge 3 mostly to track my sleep and exercise (or lack thereof), for awareness and accountability. I'm optimistic this old geezer night owl can learn new ways. With all the new research on detrimental effects of sleep deprivation in the brain and body, I decided that if seeing my numbers in LED could up my motivation to change, it'd be well worth the price. The data does shine a spotlight on habits that do and don't serve me well. No more fooling myself. The sleep cycle tracker totals up minutes in REM, light sleep, deep sleep and awake cycles throughout the night. Also tracks heart rate 24/7 and keeps average resting heart rate. I sync it with my phone and view data that way. I don't pay for the monthly premium subscription, I get plenty with the free app. I'm not much into extra gadgets to keep track of and charge, and never would've bought this. But I was part of a Stanford Study last fall that involved wearing a Charge 3. Found the info useful and picked one up on sale. Holds a charge for a week or more and gives a heads up when charge is getting low. It's marketed as being waterproof and fine to swim with. I swam 3 times with the 1st one, But it had glitches after swims and the swipe up feature quit, so I'm not wearing my new one for swimming. Maybe I just didn't dry it well enough, but not chancing it. Hope this is helpful. Oh, and my night owl teenager wore mine for a week and said it was helpful for him too, for the same reasons I like it. So he has one. We're both learning useful health info and making changes for the better.

I love my new Fitbit. It does what I need it to do without having a phone on my wrist. I mainly use it for tracking my steps/exercise, notifies me of text/phone calls (I have a Apple Iphone) and monitors my heart rate. It has other functions, but these are my main ones. I also use the “Relax” function through the day to help keep my breathing in check and aware of being mindful. I charge it every Sunday night, and the charge last a week. Happy with the purchase!
