It is a really good product overall but I realized that it doesn't truly accurately measure some of the things, like amount of steps taken and the heart rate monitor, could be just me though gets really bothersome and hurts, like it's poking into the skin, could be just me since I like it tight. It charges really really fast and the battery life can last pretty much the whole week. Love the fact that it is water proof. And it's very Easy to use

I switched back to fitbit from an apple watch because I missed being able to compete in challenges with my friends who mostly had fitbits. I have had a charge 2 previously and loved it. I love that it accurately counts my steps, etc, still measures my heart rate and automatically records my exercise. I also love that I can view my texts and calls. Much better battery life than my apple watch as well!

I’ve been using this for 6 months and like it a lot. I upgraded from the Fitbit Charge 2 and prefer this model a lot more. My favorite feature is the text messages to my watch but it can be disabled if you want.
I am still wearing the original gray band which is super comfortable even when exercising and after daily wear is still clean and in good shape.
I put the watch on the charger while I take a shower once in a while. If I forget to charge it, I’ll get an email about low battery. It has an impressing battery life of 5-7 days.
I’ve been using a Fitbit for so long I really don’t need to look at the face anymore. After a while, you know what your numbers are even when you’re exercising and what the vibration nudges mean. In some ways, I think I’m too comfortable with the watch and it being so predictable it doesn’t give me the challenge it once did.
The sleep function is an improvement over the Charge 2. The face light doesn’t come on when you roll over and the band doesn’t get caught on things. Still, I don’t think it’s a very accurate sleep tracker and I prefer to sleep without it.
For the drawbacks, the clock face options are not my favorite but I got used to it. The tap feature doesn't always work for me. It also seems to un-sync frequently.
Overall I love it.

I bought the Charge 3 to replace my Charge 2 that broke after using everyday for 2-3 years. The Charge 3 was a great upgrade. It has a lower profile than the Charge 2 so it sits lower on your wrist and looks slick. The battery life has been improved and it is fully waterproof. The ability to change the watch faces digitally is a cool feature as well. It tracks steps very accurately. I highly recommend this tracker.

I've been a Fitbit user for a few years now, thanks to my best friend, getting me my first tracker (the model under the Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Alta - which, I might add, I LOVED). Overall, for what I need an activity tracker for, the Fitbit gets the job done. With my last Fitbit calling it quits, I ordered the upgrade (the Charge 3). Still not quite ready to switch over to the Apple Watch world (due to pricing), I knew this would be the best bang for my buck. And it truly has been. The battery life is pretty good. I generally recharge once every 4 to 5 days or so (pending how often I am wearing it). The features are standard to what you can expect from any Fitbit product. So, no complaints on that end. I'll be sticking with FitBit until further notice. Hopefully, my Charge 3 lasts longer than my previous Fitbit Alta - which died after a couple years of regular use.
I will note, I have had some issues with some bands sized for the Charge 3 not staying on and falling off mid-way through the day. It could be because some of the bands I buy are off-brands, however, beyond that, I've had little to zero issues with my Fitbit Charge 3.

I have now used this Charge 3HR for a period of 16 months, and in that time frame, I only have one complaint, which is awesome for a device - but more on that later.
The Charge 3 HR is the latest iteration of the Fitbit Charge series. This series has had its incremental upgrades over time. This version has a higher resolution OLED screen, better battery life, and a touchscreen display (vs. tap controls on the previous-gen). It is also waterproof!
The tracker initially was a bit unstable, and not as accurate as my previous fitness tracker, but with a few firmware updates, that problem got fixed. I do like that this does a better job in sleep tracking and now features "oxygen tracking" when I sleep.
I love the battery life, a full 7 days, which is great when you go traveling and forget your charger. I also enjoy its waterproof, i was able to go swimming with it on vacation.
Overall this is a great tracker and has been reliable. I am looking to upgrade when this one fails. Apart from straps that have broken (that is expected to happen), my only complaint is that it sometimes does not turn on the display - it's still keeping track but the display is off. This is an issue that pops up once in a blue moon, but when it does it sucks cause you can't see the time.
Overall, this is an awesome tracker.

Has a pretty nice touchscreen display, the battery can lasts up to a whole week (for me is one of the best features for an activity tracker, since you don't have to worry to charge it every single day) and the sleep tracking is pretty accurate (for what I've read). The price is good for all the features on this item, definitely would get another for myself since this was a gift for my wife.

Great Fitbit. It has it all. It monitors my heart rate. It keeps track of how many steps I do each hour as well as how many calories I use up. But most of all it is waterproof. I can be monitored whether awake or asleep, walking or swimming. I’m just starting my rehab so this will help me monitor my progress. I really think this will help motivate me.

I use to wear apple watch. Hated charging it daily. It did a lot but really didn’t use it. The Fitbit does exactly what I want it to and does it well. This thing lasts for 4-5 days. Takes an hr to fully charge. Tracks sleep to the tee. Got a new born and pretty much tells me exactly when she woke up few times a night. It keeps track of my steps, heart rate etc. does exactly what’s its suppose to. I get notifications from my phone. I like that you can choose which apps u allow notifications from. the Fitbit app is really good and keeps me engaged. Two things that I didn’t care for that it lost a star on. It’s horrible on keeping track of stairs climbed. It consistently says I climbed a lot of stairs even though I live in a single story home. And work on first floor. Second. I had to pay for a separate app to sync with apple health. Should be just done automatically. Why do I care about apple health. It’s hard to say if this company will be around in the long run (decades) and like the idea of having this data backed up.

So now that I have had this for awhile, I feel like I can honestly review. This is a great tracker if you are not in need of anything super fancy. The charge lasts for days. I typically only need to charge about every 10 days or so. I did not like the band it came with at all. It's wide and clunky and uncomfortable. Luckily, Amazon came to the rescue and there are a ton of comfy bands available.
It tracks well but like all of these trackers, if you are pushing a cart at the grocery, it does not capture all your steps. I tuck mine in a pocket when shopping so that it reads my strides.
Fitbit has a good little app that gives you a weekly update on your movement, steps, exercise etc.
This is a good value and could be a stepping stone to the higher end models if you want to try something out.

I absolutely love this Fitbit. Tracking my steps has helped me being more active, specially during quarentine. Being waterproof was a game changer for me. I can swim if it and track my heart rate.
I also sleep with it to track my sleep.

I like the overall design, with the many features including keeping track of exercise, steps, sleep, activities, and goals. Not sure how it diagnoses overall sleep and dreams, but it seems very accurate, when I closed my eyes, when I woke, and sleep problems in-between. (would like to know how it knows time spent in R.E.M.) Anyway, I am liking my fitbit 3 , and have been more aware of how many miles I actually move at work. The main complaint is that there are no beginning instructions what- so- ever . And when I set the weather from my phone to device, it lasts one day, than says it isn't connected to my phone. I do like it very much, but the overall lack of instruction from the start is terrible. Too many steps(pun intended)to try and figure out things that should be obvious with a beginning intro.

This is my first Fitbit. I’ve always used the Apple Watch, but decided to give this a try. The heart rate sensor seems very accurate when I compare to my blood pressure cuff. It integrates well with My Fitness Pal to log food. If you use IFTTT you can even sync it with the Apple Health App. The auto logging of exercises is not the best. It said I just completed a bike riding exercise when I was just sitting at my desk. But that’s the only issue I’ve had. I don’t use the elliptical exercise because it doesn’t properly track distance and steps, I wish Fitbit would let you go back and edit those. Instead, I log a run and just don’t allow it to sync with my phone during the run. This has worked great for me and properly tracked my data. The sleep setting is really neat too. It shows how long you spent in the different sleep levels (REM, light, deep, awake). The battery easily lasts 7 days, which is impressive.

I owned a Charge 2 but bought my husband a Charge 3. He kept telling me things his was capable of and mine was not. I was especially envious that his was waterproof and could go in the shower & pool. Plus his battery lasted longer than mine, and I thought mine was good. The Charge 3 went on a 1-day sale and I combined that with my Rewards to buy it (alleviated some guilt since my Charge 2 worked fine). I am very happy with it! I take it in the shower & pool with no issues at all. I also like the interface a lot more because there’s more options than the 2 and more information literally at your fingertip. Also, the bands are MUCH easier to swap out.

Do Your Research Before Buying

I’m wondering if all of the people who gave the Charge 3 a five-star review are casual wearers of trackers or if they wrote the review without giving it enough time to understand the issues. I’m sorry that I didn’t do more research about Fitbit the company and the Charge 3 before I purchased it. Here are my cons: 1. The face of the tracker only stays on for about five seconds and there is no way to change that timing. Imagine trying to work out and wanting to check your heart rate only to find that you have to keep tapping the face to see the BPM. Fine if you are walking but with an intense workout or jogging, it is extremely difficult. There are over 1,000 complaints on Fitbit.com about this issue but Fitbit has not addressed it. This is a deal breaker for many customers. 2. The syncing. It doesn’t. This is not a Charge 3 specific issue but a Fitbit issue however, you can’t separate the two. If you click “all-day sync” you still need to do a push if you want your tracker to immediately sync. Syncs to something like MyFitnessPal take a long time. 3. The placement of the tracker in order to get a correct BPM reading is difficult. You have to move it for times when you are exercising (two finger lengths from your wrist and less tightness on the wrist strap), move it for normal wear, etc. 4.Sleep tracking. The website and app are fine but there is something in the Charge 3 that this keeps turning off. Again, go read the customer complaints. There are many. Pros: 1. Assuming that the heavens aligned and everything worked as it should, this would be a great item considering the features and relatively inexpensive cost.
After 15 days, Best Buy doesn’t take back items that need to be activated so I’m stuck here. Would not recommend the Charge 3 if you are a serious about tracking your health.

Step tracking on the Charge 3 is more accurate than my old Charge 2, but flights of stairs are ridiculous. I've been doing a lot of work from home since COVID started, and climbed absolutely no stairs and my walks have no elevation, yet there are days that I had over 100 flights of stairs. Contacting Fitbit wasn't helpful. They just kept telling my if I open my car door/front door or reach down and pick something up then stand back up it could record a flight of stairs. I totally get one or two extra flights a day, but anywhere from 20-100 is absolutely absurd. I might jump Fitbit ship if they can't get the altimeter figured out on the Charge 3.
