I have had a Flex, a Charge HR, and now I have purchased this new version of the Charge. This Charge 3 feels more durable, is waterproof, and looks more stylish than previous versions .

I love my new Charge 3 Fitbit!! I like that it is water-resistant even though I haven't had a chance to use this yet. I also really love the color of the band and the tracker itself.

I had the Apple Watch and the screen broke not even a month after I had it. Switched over to the Fitbit and I love it!! Waterproof is a plus. It’s exactly what I needed!!

Great At First!

At first, I loved my new fitbit. Color, style, ease of use were alll great. But after about five months, the notifications for text, calls, emails no longer worked. I had to try several troubleshooting steps daily and then hourly to get it to work again. Thus 3 stars instead of 5.
While I have always loved Fitbit products, this issue has made me rethink their products. I am working with their tech team, so we will see how that goes.

Half of me loves this and half of me hates it.
PROS:
- Customizable screen
- Bands can be switched out
- Good battery life (depending on usage)
- Notifications available if synced with cell phone
- Built in alarms
- Timers built in (stopwatch & countdown)
- Weather forecast
- Relaxation breathing exercises (2-5 minutes)
CONS:
- It is very bulky. Not just the width of the band but the main electronic piece is very thick. I hate wearing this piece when I’m going out and dressed formally.
- Battery life really depends on how often you check your steps, if you’re using the features that were built in and how often you sync. My Fitbit went from 100% to 30% in less than 2 days.
- I feel like the steps are inaccurate. I wore my best friend’s Fitbit Alta HR on one arm and this Fitbit Charge 3 on the other and the Alta claimed that I hit over 30,000 steps in a 3 hour hike period. The Charge 3 was hardly making it to 20,000 and I find that really odd.
- I think the breathing app should remind people to use it before bed or if their HR is too high and they aren’t exercising. You have to select it yourself just to use it. So what’s the point?
- I dislike the way you browse the device using the side button.
- I list my hand to see the time and the dang screen doesn’t turn on automatically like it shows in videos.
All in all, I’ve made use of this device but I still might consider switching it out for the good ol Alta HR. All I care about is the time, number of steps and HR. Don’t need to see anything else. And I feel the Alta HR just bad much better battery life. If you’re someone who feels the breathing exercises, weather, and larger screen is better then go for it. But I need something sleeker with easier usage.
