The Charge 4 improves our health

This is the second FitBit that I have purchased for my wife. The first one was the FitBit Inspire 2 which does most of what Charge 4 without the GPS. With the GPS (which is pretty accurate), the Charge 4 can tell if you're climbing steps along with tracking the routes you take when you go on walks, jogs, etc. Generally, that's not THAT important but for some people, like myself and my wife, it is. What gets tracked gets improved. Seeing the routes we take and getting accurate measurements of time + distance on the FitBit apps helps gamify our fitness journey, making it more fun & exciting to stay motivated and consistent. So is the extra $30 and 20% less battery power worth getting the Charge 4 and its GPS tracker? To us, absolutely. However, I do think that people who aren't interested in stats can save themselves a bit of money by going with the Inspire 2 instead.

It’s r a real cool fitness tracker. I will need to change to the bigger band. You will. Need to setup on charge on your phone. You can download the app in the App Store. You can track where you are using your iPhone I like that it’s light weight and links with phone

I bought this to upgrade from my charge 2 since I had had it for about 4 years. The new design is very sleek and focuses more on the touch screen features and the battery life lasts much longer. Definitely would recommend if anyone is looking for a fitness watch.

A true value for money. Amazed to see so many features pushed into such a small device - with Heart beat inbuilt- simply awesome. Features like phone, text and other app notifications which can be configured. Setup was as easy as 1-2-3 and done.

The Fitbit Charge 4 is perfect for what it is. It keeps track of a few metrics, which is all I wanted. It also has some handy apps on it - timer, alarm, bike ride tracker, and more. I also wanted a tracker that wasn't huge on my wrist - and this Fitbit fits perfectly.

Works great! Bought it for my 14 y/o son who needed it for a PE class to track workouts. He uses it constantly now even with class over. Tracks his steps, his sleep, swims with it. Never a problem, and has him a little more focused on fitness.

This is my 2nd Fitbit. Hated giving up my 1st one but it finally quit. Received this new one and it is "hands down" much better. It is versatile, has many great features and options for display and it is a great little tracker. It's motivational and simple to use. Great Fitbit!

As always excellent product. Great battery life and excellent features. The sleep tracking is my main reason for purchasing this item. My smart watch isn't quite up to the challenge with battery life to accurately track sleep due to it needing to be charged every night.

My new Charge 4 works very well. I use it to monitor my sleep. It reports the amount of rem and deep sleep I get as well as the amount of wakefulness. I have been using it to determine what conditions during the day affect my sleep at night.

    Not good for cyclists

This is a good fitness tracker for walkers and runners but the Charge 4 heart rate monitor just does not work well for cycling. I played around with the max heart setting and got it so that it “sort of” tracks my activity level when I ride but it’s a kludge. It’s a known problem. Read DC Rainmaker’s blog if you want to know more. Other than that it works well, I like the sleep tracker, the automatic activity detection and the long battery life. The HRM works great when I’m not on my bike. It serves the purpose that I bought it for so I’m going to keep it, but if I had to do it over again I would buy an Apple Watch.

Upgraded from a Charge 2 to be able to track sleep pattern. Shows sleep stages during the night which is what I wanted to monitor. Metal pin on band closure is a little too small so I do not find as easy to place on wrist as the Charge 2.

Bought it for my son who uses it for a college health class. I was surprised by the features, like messages from his iPhone as well as contactless payment options. Oh yeah, counts steps and heart rate and other health related metrics as well.

Bought this to replace the fitbit inspire, the readout was too small for my aging eyes, and it was giving me undeserved steps. So far it has held a good charge and it is much easier to read the face.

I bought this tracker for my husband for Christmas. He had been wearing a Charge 2 for several years but the face became cracked after years of use. The Charge 4 is lighter, has more options, is brighter, and just all over better! He could not be happier!

I got this to track how much walking I do at work. I knew it was water resistant so wore it in the pool. I didn’t know it tracked this too. This is great it works with another app I use. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to track their daily activities.

It isn't terrible. The device itself fits great. Decent black and white screen. Responsive touch. Looks nice and is comfortable. Battery lasts almost exactly a week. Only remove it to shower. Manually enable the GPS to not drain the battery as fast. The issue is the app itself. Very buggy with syncing and displaying accurate data. For instance a common issue with the Charge 4 on the forums is the sleep data. I would say 7/10 times it doesn't display a sleep score or all of the metrics that you pay for if you pay for Premium. It is a bit disappointing. If you choose to not pay for Premium and don't mind the basic info, which is still pretty great information, then there isn't a problem at all and I would recommend the watch. Wait for a sale though, they are pretty common.

Was a upgrade for a old 5 year old fitbit that was no longer charging. Wish I had upgraded sooner. This one is great and does everything. From my health info to my phone info. Great price and a great device.
