Like the back lighting on this Fitbit. Like the longer battery life. Not crazy about the distances being off when I exercise on the treadmill. It is much less bulky than the watches. Not a fan of the band.

Probably should do your research before buying. There are many Fitbit models and this one may or may not be the best one for you. I'm just a regular non-athlete and I bought it mostly to track my sleep instead of apps where I have to guess my sleeping and waking and type in the numbers myself. It seems to be pretty accurate about it. It's noticeable when you wear it, but not uncomfortable. The band is simple and it's easy to wear or remove the device and it stays on. Out of the box, the attached band is the one that fits a female wrist so men may have to attach the second band that fits a male-size wrist. It's pretty easy to swap out bands and they offer other colors/textures. Some may also prefer the model that looks more like an actual watch. I just wanted something as simple as possible without a lot of fancy features that my smartphone already does. The charging cable is particular to this device so don't lose it. It's not really clear on the device what the battery level is. You have to use the app. But battery life is decent. As I bought this with the onset of winter, I haven't used it to track walking and biking that I do in the warmer months. But it has a GPS built in so I'm sure it will do great at that. It's probably not so great at tracking the other type of workouts I do. For some reason, there's only room in the app/device to track 5 or so types of workouts when I rotate between 8 to 10 different kinds. It also won't let me both track an exercise and use the stopwatch feature. There are some other features the watch does but I am dubious about the value and/or don't need them. Supposedly you can track heart rhythm, your relaxation level, and (for women) your menstrual cycle. Probably won't use any of those, but it's OK for what I do use it for. Finally, the companion app on your phone can provide useful summaries on a daily or weekly basis.

    Excellent Fitbit Charge 5 tracker

Excellent fitbit tracker, superior to the old Fitbit charge 3 that I had bought a few years back and traded in. It's much more accurate and does a better tracking job especially with the sleep and exercise modes. The screen is in color and much easier to read than the old grayscale one. I think I've gotten 8+ days on a charge. The customer service rep did a great job and set it up perfectly before leaving the store.

I was using Misfit Speedo for 6 or 7 years and finally lost it at the gym recently. It was a reliable swim tracker and sleep tracker for me with good battery life. This Fitbit looked like the best alternative and jumped in with hopes of heart rate monitor benefit over the misfit. I am happy to say that this model is very good all around fitness/sleep tracker! The swim mode works very well and tracks the laps and duration very well. I wish it did heart rate while swimming but that’s probably a sensor difficulty so no problem. The only thing I hate is to have to wear this on my wrist all day. I don’t mind switching to my wrist while I swim but I prefer it on my ankle (misfit worked fine there) and keep my wrist clear. The battery life is good. I seem to average 10days to 2 weeks. Hope it works this way for at least a few years…

Very long time Fitbit user and have had several Charge models. Was excited when this one came out and preordered. Setup was okay and no issues tho it did an update right away. I noticed that the battery was draining and could not keep a charge longer than 20 hours. After a few days of constant charging and trying all the forum suggestions, exchanged it for another. It setup easily (no update) but have been going for five days on the very first charge so I am sure it was defective battery. I’m on an iPhone XR and have had no issues with syncing or connecting for on phone GPS walks. Have not looked at the premium trial yet as I wanted to know what it was like standalone. Like the screen visibility so much more on walks now!

Nice size, not bulky; it works as expected, no issues so far. Battery last 5 days. Band is ok, but I would prefer to have the option to customize the band, or if they offer more vibrant colors. Premium features are nice, but I will not get the membership once my 6 months trial is up.

The Fitbit Charge 5 is great. It even recognizes that I am outdoor biking. The wristband clasp is different than the previous models and takes a little getting used to, but I like it now. Actually buying the watch, however, was a little frustrating trying to get help to open the cabinet where the stock is located. So five stars for the watch, three stars for Service. Tip: if you don’t find anybody in the area where the stock is located, go up to the front greeter and ask him to page somebody to go back there. That’s what finally worked for me.

I have killed many predecessors to Fitbit Charge 5. I was excited that I finally broke the last one so I could buy this. I love the display and it seems to track steps very well. I'm happy I can still participate in the Workweek Hustle! It doesn't count floors, however, which is a known glitch from sites I've visited. Also, I don't like the idea that I have to provide a credit card for the 6 months of "free" premium service. If it can't count floors - basic stuff, how disappointed will I be adding features that may not work? It's a fine basic device, but don't expect a lot from it. Know it has limitations going in...

I have tried to get my wife in a smart watch for a couple of years now, after her sister had bypass surgery she said ok! She finally decided and I bought her this one. To this point it has had fantastic battery life. The features seem to suit her needs! She has been very happy with this watch.

Traded in my apple watch to go back to fitbit. Battery life is so much better. It tracks steps better, measures workouts better and the app is nicer. Only have to charge it once a week if that and it doesn't bug me wearing it to bed like the apple watch did.

Bought the Fitbit to keep track of my runs and have access to time with my son without the need for a phone. Along with tracking my workouts and runs, keeping track of my sleep has helped improve my sleep, reducing how omuch I toss and turn at night.

Great upgrade to my Charge 3. Bright colored display is easy to read with more data displayed. Watch fits comfortably. I had read reviews ahead of purchasing and have had no issues with battery keeping a charge as I allowed it to fully charge out of the box. I recharge once a week and the battery is still half full.

I love my Charge so much, it has changed my life. The sleep tracking is fantastic and has already helped me implement changes. It is a great price point for an entry level fitness tracker, looks great and never bothers my wrist, and best of all it holds a charge for 8 days!

This is my 3rd Fitbit, and I love this one! It is easy to see the time, and very comfortable. I love all the info I can access as well. I make sure to walk at least 10,000 steps per day, and this helps me stay on task.

Bought this Charge 5 to replace my Charge 3, which I had for quite a few years. Charge 5 tracks all kinds of things, like EKG and sleep in addition to the usual steps, miles, calories, etc. Also goes over a week on a full charge.
